Yeah I do like having them detachable but I usually have small bags in mine anyway that I put my clothes and stuff in, the other stuff I don't really care to take inside. I'm not a fan of how the leather pros look, but they definitely are more convenient

Nice review man! Always good to see an honest opinion, they seem to be great bags but they also seem to have the same restrictions i have with my Road King, it seems like they hold a lot, but being smaller and skinnier does mean compromises for daily riding, doing shopping etc with skinny bags sucks.

Yeah man the Heritage bags are the same. One thing I like about my bags I had on the Bolt before is they could easily hold a 12 pack, which tells you how spacious they are

Also, another consideration concerning bags, in a dry County, like where my great grandfather lived, opening a case, or a 6 pack, makes it an open container... so the ability to put an unopened 6 pack, or 12 pack, in your bag can make the difference in if you are, or are not getting that ticket. Just a thought.

I like the look and the $150 to $260 price tag. I don't like how they open up from the inside into the bike. I don't really like the harley style of opening to the outside either. When are they going to learn to hinge them from the front so they open up and out of the way, and work better to prevent rain from getting in from the 'wind' side of the bag. Wishing I was a leathersmith...I'd get a set, hinge them on the front side and send em back to Viking for consideration. Great Video Chase!! WOOOOOO!

I like viking bags, I use their quick disconnect system and pay attention to the volume of the bags because the pictures make them look all the same size.

I wish I could find good bags for my fat bob, without changing the exhaust, and the lights... but a bag on the sissy bar works for now. It seems to me every time I look at bags they are not quite right for whatever I am doing... cool video.

I'm taking a trip from Houston TX to Champlain NY this summer, so I'm reviewing the equipment I buy for it... eta on the proprietary straps that work better... tomorrow by noon... weather forecast for tomorrow?? Heavy rain, possibility of hail and tornadoes.. I can't win for losing!! I leave for Michigan teusday.. guess it will have to be when I get back? That's life...

Do you have the original tail section with the license plate? If so you should be fine. Mine came with all that relocated to the fender, it's a whole process but cleans up the back end

I got a set of KemiMoto bags at the end of the riding season so I haven't had a chance to use them. They look okay I'm hoping they'll work ok on my bolt.

Those Kurykan ones I got worked great, it's just after 20,000 hard miles they'd seen their use lol. I'm sure they'll work fine, at least for a few years

I ride a wide glide and also have an old school chopper. If you are building a custom, you have to use bits from other bikes. Shaun

@@ronaldlin2636 everything lines up great with these. The bags are designed with adjustable mounts so you can put them wherever you want, just have to get creative with where you put your holes lol. I'm about to do another mounting system for them soon, I want them to be detachable for trips...so stay tuned for that! Appreciate you watching 🤘

I noticed on the bolt you remove your turn signals. Can you get some flush mount ones that mount on the back of the bags?

@@ww-eg2gn I didn't remove them, I replaced them with low profile ones. And yeah I'm sure you could put some on the bags, you'd just need to wire them up

Nah sorry mine doesn't, but I know that the Bolt Facebook forums have some great insight on it
