Hello, thank you for your lovely informative videos. I'm thinking of getting the CLP 875 for myself. Is the 'weight' of the key action the same as the CLP 775? I play the 775 in church and really like it. Id be interested to know if it's lighter or the same. Not many stores have the new 800 series in stock here in the UK. Thanks you

Hi David If you play the CLP775 today, you sill not be dissapointed. Per Yamaha Comparison chart, they both have Grand Touch keyboard action. 👍🏻☺️🎹

Thank you for the video. Beautiful instruments. I am usually following the cult of the new, but I think, if I wait 3 months I can get a clp 785 for 3k. These minor improvements won't be worth an extra 1k

Just received the 785. I use the aux out into my stereo. Can’t see the extra cost when lusting for a C2x anyway.

What do you think of the difference of key-action of these 2 models? Are the keys of the Yamaha clp-885 the same weight? The Yamaha clp-785 already had the grand touch action with counter weight. Is there any improvement noticeable when you play them side by side?

I didn't notice any sound difference, the sound is the same for both, maybe in LIVE sound it's a little different.

Hi Felipe Yes, the AUX Out ports (standard phone jack (L/L+R, R)) are located just to the left of the connectivity box under the piano. 👍🏻☺🎹

Hi Mazica For EU, its due to arrive in August. The CLP800 series different models are coming to the market over the coming months. CLP885 is the first to arrive. Not sure how it is in other markets. 👍🏻☺️🎹

@@Digitalpianocom We want to make sure. Is the keyboard similar to the 775. Or is it different. Like the difference between the 785 and the 885.

Hi Mazica Both the CLP-775 and the CLP-885 feature the GrandTouch keyboard action, but the CLP-885 features counterweights and the CLP-775 doesn't. Between the 700-series and the 800-series the key sensor algorithm has also been improved. 👍🏻☺🎹

@@Digitalpianocom Hi, thank you for the video. OK for the CLP-775, no keyboard counterweights. But, as far as I know, CLP-785 has counterweights, so the keyboards of CLP-785 and CLP-885 should have no mechanical difference. Am I right? :) Another question: CLP-785 has three MIDI plugs. Is any MIDI plug available in the CLP-885, or they disappeared?

this was a bit of a weak review, unfortunately. If you research you'll find that there are more improvements, although they're a bit abstract and some quantification/analysis of those is something we wish to see on comparison videos. The headline "What's new?" would be better represented focusing on those differences. Most of the video describing what's the same as the previous model is a lot of filler, which is usually not very good for viewers. It was very nice seeing the current and previous model side by side.

I have to disagree. I thought the guy made a well-rounded review. He covered the key points that matter to most buyers. You mentioned that the other improvements are a bit abstract-most buyers wouldn’t care. They click the video for the exact information provided. You clearly do your own research and know more than most, so this video might not be for you. This comment seems unnecessary.

@@ugegefamfam4318 that's a good point. Maybe if not for the title "What's new?", I wouldn't have this personal opinion. My guess is that it raised my expectations of seeing the comparison points with the previous model highlighted and that was not the focus of the review. If its unnecessary, well, that might be perspective as well. I think this was a constructive criticism and if I made any videos I would like to understand what ppl want to see or what they thought was missing.
