I have two questions, 1. How to make a layer for each pad 2. How to copy from one pad in preset into another pad on user kits.

How do I make the internal GM sounds (piano) stop responding to all MIDI channels. When I use with a sequencer it outputs piano sounds. I can't find anywhere in the manual where it addresses this. Help please.

I’ll tinker around with this. I recently got my Akai Rhythm Wolf out, which could act as a sequencer on my end, and I’m pretty sure I have a MIDI cable laying around somewhere.

Is it the "decline" or "incline" buttons or "Increase" and "Decrease" buttons?

I can't import files and I'm not sure why or what I'm doing wrong. I get this message: "IMPORT File not found.". I use 16 bits 44100 wav files and I've done this before with the same USB drive and it was all good. Can you please help me? Thanks.

I have many examples of many sounds. but when I input it is always an illegal file. I've done several ways. but the result remains the same. please ask how to enter it into dtx 12. Tannkyou

Make sure your WAV files are 44.1kHz / 16 bit and not larger than 4MB

Do you know how much memory storage the device has? Or does the usb need to be plugged in at all times?
@microphonicdesigns Жыл бұрын
I do! TheDTX only has 64MB of available space for user samples. Custom stereo WAV files are limited to 4MB, and mono WAV files are limited to 2MB. So you'll want to ensure your samples fit within those file size limitations.

I keep seeing illegal file pop up… I taught I uploaded the correct file format to the root level of the SS drive…. Any help would be great.
@microphonicdesigns3 жыл бұрын
Definitely triple check the file type and make sure the file isn't too long in length. I think there's a different text message that pops up when the file is too long, but it could be something to also look into. Hope you've been able to get it to work!

Am getting "illegal selections' When I want to load samples?
@microphonicdesigns2 жыл бұрын
That usually means that your WAV file isn’t in the right format. The DTX-M12 can only support 44.1kHz/16 bit WAV files that are up to 4MB for stereo samples and 2MB for mono.

Absolutely. Though, I did just double check the user manual and found that ‘illegal selection’ is different than ‘illegal wave data’. Check page 108 of the DTX-M12 user manual for more info.

Is there a way to import sounds that are kinda long? I have some audio clips that are in the 40ish second range. I can do everything in this video, but it ends up saying "the sample is too long". I've seen bands do this for years, but I cant figure out how
@microphonicdesigns3 жыл бұрын
So, I dug through the manual to try and find anything that says explicitly how long the file can be but didn't find quite what we're looking for here. What I did find, though, is that the maximum stereo file size the DTX can accept is 4MB (Page 110 of the manual). Since the DTX will only load samples with a format of 44.1kHz / 16 bits, 4MB only gives us roughly 22 to 23 seconds of length in any individual sample. If you've seen groups triggering longer sequences with a DTX, they're likely splitting it up between multiple samples.

@@microphonicdesigns That's a shame, as it pretty much makes the Yamaha useless for loading full song backing tracks.

how do you Rename a user kit?
@microphonicdesignsАй бұрын
There are a few steps to renaming a kit, but it's not too difficult once you do it a few times. Check out page 47 of the owners manual for the details.
