Yamaha DTX-Multi 12 Percussion Pad - Rimmers Music

In this demo with Yamaha's Simon Edgoose, we look at some of the features and possibilities of the the Yamaha DTXM12 Percussion Pad. Packed full of sounds, rhythms, patterns and useful tools, this pad can be used in conjunction with triggers on an acoustic kit, as an extension of a digital drum kit, or you can even plug in a kick pad and hi-hat controller to turn this into a super compact drum kit! The touch sensitivity is such that you can even play with hands and fingers, giving you a fantastic range of dynamics with the various percussion samples. All this can be recorded and transferred to a computer using the included copy of Cubase AI 5.

!Watching Simon's videos is what prompted me to pull the trigger on this AWESOME DEVICE in 2024, although is over 11 years old and the app ONLY works with the iPad! {Had to buy one too}... CAN'T BELIEVE after all this time, Yamaha hasn't made an APP FOR ANDROID!!!

Fantastic demo, Simon. You definitely can sell this gem of a device! It is remarkable. I just wish there was a more complete manual for this machine for drummers to go through step by step for the many things it can do. Please ask Yamaha to make a book for this amazing device!

Can the tempo pad activate change during the playback? Also can temp be controlled via an external midi time clock, im thinking with a Boss 505 loop station? This guy does the best reviews on the M12, im almost sold..

I’ve been interested in Yamaha DTX Multi 12 for quite some time now. I was just about to order one but I need a very important question answered first. I know that it’s capable of so much more, but I plan to use it only as a drum kit. I’m now in a situation where there is a physcial space and volume limitation. There’s not enough space for an electronic drum kit. Plus, it would be great to just walk in with this pad, a stand, and a foot and hi hat controller. QUESTION: When the Yamaha DTX Multi 12 is used as/like a drum kit, is the hi hat able to be played/controlled closed, half open and sloshy? Or is it just closed or fully open? I’ll order one RIGHT NOW if the hi hat can be played/controlled like a hi hat. Thank you!

if our samples or loops have not same tempo can this unit synch loops or samples in its pad for example:we have bass loop(110 bpm)and drum loop(120 bpm),...but we synch them 115 bpmCan this unit SYNCH and MIX to same tempo(115 bpm)thank you

Cajon samples feature on a few different preset kits, 05 Conga Hand allows you to play with your hands, whilst 028 Cuban Stick allows to play Cajon sounds with sticks. You can find all DTX M12 Manuals here (Data list has all of the voices listed):bit.ly/2pcjfdW
