Agree it's a great instrument and and its robust construction has ensured there are many good working example still around for relatively little money for such a classic instrument. Is "full tines" one of the factory default sounds?
@sunhotband6 ай бұрын
Thanks for the question - Its not one of the voices that's on the Rom cassette I've got - I think "FullTines" is a DX7 Mk2 factory default but can be loaded and patched to the Mk1 - if there is anyone who knows more - please comment below. The mark 2 version came out in 1987 not 1986.

Thank you for comment - I know there is a lot or references that say 1987 for the release of the DX7 MK 2 but my understanding is that it was released in December 1986 ready for Christmas - yamahablackboxes.com/collection/yamaha-dx7ii-fd-synthesizer/ - although there is a lot of conflicting information about its release date - December 1986 seems to be confirmed by Yamaha - but we could be wrong - let us know if find out any more - one thing we can agree on is that the DX7 sure is a great classic instrument. Good job....run it thru an effects rack......like they did in the 80s

Love the DX7 but don't have any rack equipment - mostly use our Roland RDX 700 with midi with plugins to our DAW. Have so many different keyboards - need the space - so reluctantly will be selling the DX7 soon - to live on with some else who can utilise and has more space than us . Thanks again for the appreciation and kind comment - all the very best Morgan - SUN HOT BAND 🙂
