There are various problems, but he is alive. I'm in trouble because I don't have the data to recover the factory presets. I'm investigating how to recover.

After the previous reply, I got a huge sound library along with the original preset sounds on the DX series specialty site. The sound is completely back !

@@ita-shin Glad to hear that! I heard somewhere that the original DX7's sound are pretty hard to program compared to future FM synths. Does DX7II FD is a little simplier or easier in some way? I'll waiting to see a review by yourself :)

@@milanesacondubstep5830 Thank you very much !! Compared to modern digital and analog synths, there is less visual information, so editing sounds can be difficult. I think it's easier to edit than the original DX7. I have to make it while imagining the shape of EG and LFO, but it is quite interesting. And, the modulation of the FM sound source changes the tone drastically, so I feel that training is necessary.

@@ita-shin The original sounds are wiped if the battery dies? Ouch! By chance could you provide a cloud link for that library? I'm thinking of buying an FD model off eBay, listing says battery is dead. Great tutorial i wish the battery was in a holder like on a PC.

wouldn't it be better to solder on a CR2032 socket holder at the end of a length of wire? Then you could change the battery easily next time without soldering and if the battery leaks it would not be even near your precious main board.

Of course, I considered using a socket holder, but I did it on purpose. I have another DX7II, which uses a socket.
