Yes I agree they're close and greetings as well. Thank you sir for the compliment 👍. Id love to do a DBR10 vs elx200-10p for you but I don't have the ELXs anymore.

WHat do you think abour the ELXs? In the same level of Yamaha DXR?@@JHGurganus

@@CamposMIC Good question. I returned the ELXs as I was not happy with them. Unfortunately I only tried them in live mode - I did not try modes such as music and club with them. But with the ELXs in live mode, I definitely like the sonic signature of the DXRs better for vocals. As you see I have ended up with a set of Yamaha DXR10mkiis which I'm completely happy with. I had the originals DXRs years ago, too. I never got to do a side by side but from the testing I did with them, I would say the ELX's are a step below the DXRs. But I could be wrong.

@@JHGurganus Thanks for the fast reply. I am from Brazil, and here is hard to find the DXRs. We are considering to buy 2 EXLs 10p and a 12ps (sub) to use in our rock band trio. We will run our guitar and bass from our Line 6 Helix straight to the mixer and then to the EVs. This setup is to use in practice mode in our studio as well as to run small venues 50 to 100 people max. What do you think?

You're welcome! I think that will 100% work out great for that amount of people. Also, I previously had EV Evolve 50s and 30Ms and I liked club mode way better - even for just guitar & vocals. Hope that helps...

DBR10 has a pronounced low-mid hump in its response and sounds “boxier” than the DXR10MkII. The high frequencies of the DXR10MkII also sound clearer than the DBR10 Would have been nice to hear both speakers compared in the FOH contour setting also, as that might help reduce the boxiness and brighten up the highs on the DBR10. The difference is fairly subtle though, considering that the DXR10 costs ~ twice as much. DBR10 remains the champ in the “bang for buck” department (although I’m sure that the DXR10 would win hands down in an outdoor, higher volume setting…).

Thanks for watching. Yes I agree the DBR10 is definitely a champ in the bang for the buck department and they served me well. I wish it was warmer weather at the time and I could have gotten them both outside and pushed them a bit next to each other.
