Fgx3 got urea nut and saddle. Fgx5 have bone nut and saddle. The pin for fgx5 is Ebony and fgx3 is plastic. I would suspect the quality of the wood and craftsmanship as well.

I don't know why I like the sound this fgx3 makes over fgx5, and look at the player's face, enjoy fgx3 more than fgx5

I find the neck to be very comfortable. A tiny bit smaller than the 5 on the neck. Body-wise, it's not as comfortable as a smaller guitar to sit on the couch with. Some wish the edged were a bit rounder. I've had it since 2020.... I finger pick and strum. The elixirs are great on this guitar! So the picking is responsive. The open chords though... Wow. Like the ocean.

I am picky on plugged-in sound. It just depends on your taste. I prefer a more natural sound when plugged in. I think this does a great job with that because of the internal mic working with the piezo. I've never had a problem with it sounding “clangy.”
