Working on mine right now. Thanks for posting this, it helps to understand how the bearings are put in there in the center and that they can't be pushed through, they need to be pulled out.

I ended up buying a blind bearing remover-not much different in principle to what you did, except it has a slide hammer to pull the bearing. Still had problems, and bearings would not budge. Discovered from a video on blind bearing removal that removing the rollers and cage from inside the bearing makes a big difference. Once I did that, it gave a big enough lip for the tool to grab onto, and then the bearings came out. I can't tell if you did that first before using the concrete anchor to pull the bearings. How did the new shock work out, did it make a big difference? What kind is it?

RastaDee I went with a new FJR rear shock. The a good friend told me that the generation 3 are much better than the gen 2’s so I went with that.
