A known issue of the throttle delay/"snatchyness" ... I've recorded this to show the issue.
I have already done the following due to "internet advice" saying each one would help;
Free flowing exhaust.
Co2 adjustment.
Ignition advance.
Throttle bodies balanced and cables adjusted properly.
Checked the TPS via onboard diagnostic mode, goes from 0% to 1% perfectly, as soon as the throttle moves. No jumping.
Bike is fully serviced and up to date, always use 97/99 fuel, valve clearances spot on.
Worked VERY hard on my throttle roll on control.
JUST prior to this video, I adjusted the TPS positon so it registered 18-103 (closed to open)
ANY ideas??

It's not a diesel... Not a Peugeot... and has no turbo....What am I doing!?! - NOT A CLUE!

I had the same problem. I got O2 sensor removed and fix them with a o2 eliminator kit. It solved the problem.

The ECU relies on the 02 sensor though to give it correct fueling... You could burn a piston out with the 02 sensor

It is the same issues plagued even the FZ1. Yamaha shuts injectors on decel. I think there was FCE(Fuel Cut Eliminator) that solves the issue on the FZ1. I am not sure if the similar solution will be applicable here. Regardless, ECU tune would be the best bet in solving this issue. Hope it helps mate.

Done a custom on the Dyno tune at Dynojet sadly without a fix... But that's interesting about the fz1 fuel cut... Fyi ALL cars with injectors cut fuel on deceleration (0% throttle)... It's the way it comes back on that's key and other bikes/all cars do just fine

Mine does exactly this at the same revs you describe. I will balance the throttle bodies and hopefully that will improve it.

I've done that. Didn't make a difference. Currently booked in for a tune at DynoJet UK in a few weeks.

@PiggyPower that's a shame. It's a new bike to me, and I've had carb bikes the last 8 years, so I'm not used to a snatchy throttle. It would be nice to improve it because, as you say, it's the only thing to let it down.

@@davidhall9597 yeah it is. I've tried every suggested method so far. New chain, sprockets, rear drive bushes, throttle body balancing, ignition advance, tps adjustment, throttle cable adjustment, rider training, better flow exhaust etc etc... One very experienced FZ6 guru said he did all the same and finally a aftermarket fuel controller and remap solved it. So... Let's see!

My only gripe with the bike is vibrations past 4k. Anyone here experienced that. I am sorry I am treating this section like a thread but many of you here have got the FZ6 S2 variant and I wounder if anyone had the issue and did something to solve.

Any bike has vibrations tbh ...the engine is part of the chassis... Need to be more specific really as to the vibrations

Can you get a live diagnostic or electronic (multimeter) readout of what it thinks the throttle command is doing? This might rule some stuff out.
@PiggyPower
@PiggyPower Жыл бұрын
Yeah i wish, cant ride it which seeing live TPS data on screen. Multimeter read out of the TPS would not tell us much, I know the TPS reads correct... its what the ECU is deciding to do at a given RPM with that TPS signal.

Had any luck remedying this? I love mine, but the snatchy throttle makes me want to send it down the road. Careful dragging of the rear brake through the apex can help a little bit but takes a lot of effort.

Yeah takes so much concentration it takes joy away. I've had a full remap done ... Need to get out and ride it now it's spring to find out! Subscribe and keep watching out for an update! 👍🐷

Again I'd be surprised if that helped under 2k rpm ... What exactly happens under 2k? Glad you found the coils issue, they are known for boot/wiring falling apart with age

Initially I was lead to believe they were all the same but after a lot of reading and forum surfing I've found it's not all of them... And many who have experienced it have found solutions. I'm currently booked in at DynoJet UK for a Dyno tune up in October as I've got solid evidence that the delay in response can be mapped out. . .I'm very hopeful but not 100% confident yet! Watch this space! 👍🐷

@@PiggyPower I’ve tried many flashes tps sensors gotten it to a min but it still exist. Just makes your riding skills better you get use to it after a month or two
@PiggyPower
@PiggyPower 10 ай бұрын
It's not down to rider skill, you can roll on as gently and perfectly as you like, it still kicks like a donkey to the gut due to the delay which sucks at corner entry when you've got the bike all sorted for that corner. Some basic flashes did adjust things around but only a custom tune will sort it with a sniffer up the exhaust... So for the money, it's guna be peace of mind for not leaning the bike with the mods and to get rid of that lull, money well spent.

I've also had the bike over 2 years and taken many riding schools, advanced etc, track days with tutors etc, at times it makes it more pronounced as the tutors think I'm being brutal with the throttle roll on! 😫😆
