I had a FZ 750 with the steel frame and I have a YZF 750 with the aluminium frame. The FZ runs smoother, and is more stable on high speed on a straight road. The YZF has better handling but nervous on high speed, over 200 kph. Both bikes are great.

i have an 86 fz 750 original owner ! with a few tricks my best times" late 80's" 10.25 125mph . it was the fastest factory stock 750 on the east coast for 5 yrs. retired it 93 because of a failed output shaft bearing. not bad for an old 750 . now i just cruise around w/it but i had it at atco raceway 2 summers ago ...rode it there ,took one pass and still ran mid 10's ! i will never get rid of that bike! \

I had same set up. Saw 156 once. Saw my life flashing before my eyes. Rt. 8 Connecticut. Straight for miles. I did it once but never would again.

@@Snowbound2643 didn't happen on a factory FZR750. You are talking about 300km/h in '91-'92.

da an dem einen Ortschild, das du mit 160 Km/h überfahren hast, da hattest du wirklich Glück als der PKW vor dir links einbog. Die FZR ist ne tolle Mühle, aber dein Fahrstil brutal riskant

These engines ( FZ) respond well to a jet-kit & Jeffers. Like you would not believe. My '86 revs so quick the taxhometer zips up real fast. I can tell by the sound this is all stock. No criticism from me... Just a fellow FZ owner with a bike that came alive with a few mods now has 118 horses @

I love the YZF750R -Sweet bike and I like this video, but tend to agree with you here; that constant 'pulsating' is not normal and could indeed be a over tight chain, or tight spot. The fact that it's only apparent on throttle and not off throttle backs this argument up. Shame the owner could not respond with more courtesy. Ah well.

Sorry for the typos ...hedder ,pipe and jet kit. 1986 Yamaha FZ 750 with 118 horses @ the rear wheel. Listen to my start-up video & hear how clean quick it revs. Kerker 4-1 system w / 1

I have a 1988 gen and she is not running on one cylinder but when i put my hand over the intake it runs on all four .Can anyone tell me what the problem is ? it as if shes not getting fuel .There is fuel in the carb as i have drained it to make sure that it not bad fuel .The other three are all ok .she also has a bad flat spot when i try to open her up.

Sounds like the chain has a bad tight spot and is over tight to me.
