That's a good decision! The Genos 2 is also amazing but my favourite is the PA5X.

@@detlefjakobsmeyer5378 WHY GENOS 1 & 2 HAS ALMOST ALL STYLES WITH THAT ACOUSTIC GUITAR OR THE AWFUL SAXOPHONE? THEY ALL SOUND THE SAME- THE INTROS AND ENDINGS ARE WELL CRAFTED AND ALSO THEY MADE IT SOUND MIXED AND MASTERED, BUT OVERALL SOUND IS NOT VERY NICE, IT HAS THAT YAMAHA PSR SOUND, LIKE A TOY STILL AFTER ALL THESE YEARS. WHAT ABOUT THE SOLO LEADS ON THE RIGHT IN GENOS ? MANY ARE NOT AT ALL AT THE KORG LEVEL. PA5X HAS SOME SOFTWARE PROBLEMS,. UN UPDATE WOULD SOLVE IT, BUT THEY STILL DON'T BRING IT AND PEOPLE ARE ANGRY - PA4X DOES NOT HAVE THESE PROBLEMS, ALSO - IN 1 OR 2 YEARS PA4X WILL BE MUCH CHEAPER, PROBABLY AT AROUND 1200 - 1600 $ - OR WAIT FOR THE NEXT KORG PA6X

Genos is far superior in preset sounds and style. The quality surpasses the Korg. I would know, owned the PA1xpro, and currently still have PA4x. Style creation is so much easier on the Genos2. If you are a person who likes to write your own styles, the preset samples are with industry standards.

i don;t understand those cheap /plastic yamaha PSR guitar sounds that we suppose to do solos with, that they use on almost all styles. I mean Genos.

@@pacificbase I don’t know what you are talking about. The Guitar sounds on the Genos rival Native Instrument plugins. Especially the Nylon gtrs.

YES, I WANT TO MAKE MY OWN STYLES. I SEE THAT PA5X HAS THE OPTION TO PITCH SHIFT THE SNARE, THE DRUMS....WHICH IS GREAT TO MAKE WHAT YOU WANT. DOES GENOS 2 HAVE THIS OPTION ? WHAT ABOUT FOR THE FACTORY STYLES, CAN GENOS 2 ALLOW ME TO CHANGE THE INSTRUMENTS ON THE RIGHT SIDE AND SAVE THEM ON THE FACTORY PRESETS? OVERWRITE , I MEAN ...THANKS FOR THE RESPONSE

@@shihengyifans you can’t overwrite factory presets, but you can edit them and save as nee preset, which is the same with all Korg PA series as well. You can shift drums and snares and do everything a Korg PA5x can do when it comes to writng your own styles, in fact it is so much easier to use once you get use to it. The presets Genos comes with in terms of styles and sounds, they are far more superior.

Genos sounds more natural and more defined. Korg sounds too modern and less work into the style programming.

I have both, the most powerful instrument is the KORG PA5X it's amazing.

Having the same trouble. Keep watching videos of both and I'm so confused. I'm kinda filtering on the korg. I know genos does have nice orchestral sounds but some of the korg sounds I've heard of strings mixed with pads and ambient type sounded gorgeous. Yes you can mix/ layer sounds on genos but....man, I dunno. Someone on you tube said they sold their korg coz it was so much hassle to do anything on it. That kinda put me off it for a bit but then watching more videos of the PA5X I'm thinking maybe il get into selecting buttons and get into the nitty gritty of it.... any feedback would be great!!!

I chose the Korg (for 1001 reasons) and after a few months now I certainly do not regret it !!

Genoa 2 sounds better.. but i do wish i had more customisation, metal frame and 88 hammer graded keys.. such a shame someone cant just make a keyboard that does it all

There are a lot of styles in GENOS and KORG PA5X, but NOT everything you want used it or it's your favourite. They just make impressed you with a huge number of numbers and technical details. Salesman technical 😅😅😅

Never again a Korg, the pa5x hangs together with problems!!! Unfinished software with many shortcomings, little difference from pa4x such as unfinished styles and the sounds are usually the same as pa4x. on top of that there are the problems with the illuminated buttons that become almost black after a while. And especially the bad service from Korg that does not communicate with its customers!!! After several Tyros and a Genos1 where I never had any problems, I hope the same with my Genos2. And on top of that, good support from Yamaha!!

The pa4x is better and not really expensive now, get the pa4x instead of this

Wait until the updates come and then we will see what you think of Korg, for me Korg is still the most bang for the buck my friend.
