One of the best comparsion video of them both on KZbin!!! I will have an opportunity to check them both (Korg Pa5X in 88-key version) in a few days, but let's say that I am sure that I will choose Genos 2 for its sounds, overall styles, easy of use and I think longer product live than Pa5X. The only thing that is "better" in 88-key KORG is its weighthammer keyboard, but MIDI connecting my old KORG SP-500 to Genos 2 will be a cure also for this inconvenience. Thank you!

Genos 2 is definitely better in acoustic. Styles are more modern on Korg, but you can always import other styles or convert them. So for me Genos 2 is choice.

I love the styles of the genos 2 but prefer the voices of the 5x. But what made me buy the 5x was the superior build quality over a plastic kids toy.

First and first, the synthetic sound of the korg has not disappeared anywhere🙁. Yes, it sounds much more natural compared to previous models. But I still heard its peculiar sound. The second point is very important. Load the same custom samples into both instruments and then everything will fall into place 🤷🏻 . Fucking audio sample compression in Korg... It kills sound. Yes, I like the Korg better in appearance, and probably the controls too. In addition to the natural sound of acoustic instruments and user samples, Yamaha also has FM synthesis. For me, this is a big plus. I'm still waiting for them to introduce virtual analog synthesis into arrangers. It's 2024 outside. Not everyone only plays waltz, polka and bossa nova (although I love that❤😊). Someone wants to play live modern electronic music on an arranger. Why not? So my pick for today is the Yamaha Genos 2. But I hope that Korg will try to take into account the shortcomings with the sound and fix it in the next model. I wish you all the best and good music to you 👌👍

There will never be a clear winner as we all have different reasons to buy a model and our ears are tuned differently.

These comparisons do not make sense, because it depends on the settings of the equalizer, echo, reverbs and other effects and arrangers. The IQ of the user matters more than the tool.

the vibrato on string instrument is way better on korg than on genos 2, as you play on higher and higher notes the vibrato on genos 2 is speeding up, and acoustic instrument does not do that the sampling is to short and it speed up the tempo as higher you go

Yamaha'nın seste en az 120 yıllık deneyimi var. Diğer markaların tedarikçiliğini de yapıyor hâlâ. Uzatmadan, iki markayı da deneyimlenmiş biri olarak arada çok bariz farklılıklar görmedim. Ama birçok seste G2nin sesleri kulağa daha hoş geliyor. Sonuçta iki cihaz da arajör keyboard. İyilik farkını yaratan kullanıcının ustalığıdır. Genos2'de crosfade, portomento, legato ve tremolo gibi ayarlar G1 ve a5000'e göre daha detaylı olacağı belirtilmişti. Bir eksiklik, "sevenler için" G2'ye ribbon pad konmaması olmuş.
