Great video, I’m fixing to adjust my valves. My Yamaha (2005 Grizzly) for the first time it quit running today with a full tank of treated gasoline. I used it all day and after 15 years it quits. I thought it was vapor locked, it started back up the next day, it backfired twice, it ran long enough for me to get it to the shop 200’. It sounds like fuel, I’ll check the plug also. It’s only been serviced once, ridden a little, mostly for working. When it was turning over and over, it almost sounded like it needed a spark. We will see. I was fixing to start a 5hp Briggs rebuild.

what year is your Grizzly? just looking at the service manual for a 2015 and the valve clearance is completely different, intake : 0.010 - 0.037, exhaust : 0.025 - 0.052. my grizzly is a 2010 so I have no idea what the clearance is supposed to be.

Seems like more work than 400 cc atv like king quad . Valve adjustments scare me and probably pick kymco 450 or Suzuki 400 because of this. I subscribed because of your hard work , clear explanation

Thanks for the video! Did you have to remove the spark plug when doing this job? What direction do you crank the motor from the manual crank?

I just put a brand new motor on my 2011 700 grizzly. I have set the valves many times and it is still hard to start once it gets warm and sometimes when it’s cold and it is ticking pretty bad. Any ideals thanks

You forgot to show them timing marks like you said you would I seem to have three marks down there in that little hole
