that is the best winter set up ive ever seen. (i mean a grizzly 700 with tracks) the best hunting quad with a really good set of tracks...awsome.

I've spent 2 days on the Grizzly and loved it. Plus another that we have filmed on occasion, he has had no problems, and is very happy with it too. Nice quad.

what too buy? Yamaha or pol? I need a work horse first and a trail rider second. Any suggestions?

if you dont want to pay for tracks, i recommand to nail up some tires you gonna use only during winter!!! Helps a lot if you cant afford tracks
@Charagrin16 жыл бұрын
I know, But I was talking about performance wise. A ATV with tracks is only useful for what you pointed out. Going from point A to point B with a load. No fun really, because if a ATV gets stuck in snow. Its stuck. That is why snowmobiles are king. They are usually lighter and they all have a larger foot print then a ATV so they don't sink as easy.

We have winches. Never stuck for long idiot. Go talk on a skidoo video cause you clearly know nothing about quads

I did buy Can-Am but when it comes to tracks, I'll take a Grizzly with Power Steering any day. :)
@rockmanatv17 жыл бұрын
Actually the Can-Am's are built in Canada. Grizzlies are built by Yamaha Motor Manufacturing Corporation of America... ...in Georgia.

Lets see a video with this quad going thru the same terrain with powder over the fenders, that would be about 3 feet of fresh. Then I'll be a believer. BTW a snowmobile mnt track at 163"x16"wide has aprox 18 sq feet of track of which about half is on the snow at one time. Like I said before, it was impressive in those conditions. I just don't want to see someone put on those tracks and head up to where I ride snowmobiles at 10K feet and be very unhappy when it won't go thru 5 feet of pow.
@rockmanatv14 жыл бұрын
@nothineself Loose about 30% of road speed. So if you quad does 60 mph figure on about 40 mph as a top speed.

For the price of the tracks I could get 2 snowmobiles that could run circles around a ATV with tracks.
@chevy358ci5 жыл бұрын
Paying insurance for a year and only a 3 month ride must suck. I can run my atv all year long with my tracks.
@rockmanatv17 жыл бұрын
I dont care for the mattracks, they have proven to be unreliable, heavy, and expensive to repair. Check out atvtracks net for a bunch of other tracks.
@Charagrin16 жыл бұрын
What the hell are you talking about? I never said I was gonna buy a new snowmobile. I just said for the price of the tracks I could get 2 snowmobiles that could run circles around a atv with tracks. Even with tracks, A ATV in the snow is like a whale in thin mud. Can it move? yes. Is it gonna do it gracefully and with speed? no And I did get 2 snowmobiles for under 3000. A 1999 Polaris 500, And a XCR 600. Good day

@Charagrin16 жыл бұрын
? I said exactly the opposite of what You just said. I said I could get 2 snowmobiles for the price of the tracks. And the snowmobiles would run circles around the Grizzly because unlike the modified grizzly, The snowmobiles were designed to go in snow from the beginning. Not that there is anything wrong with the tracks idea, They are just to expensive to make it worthwhile for the average Joe.

You can buy a bad ass sled for less then these cost!

Can-Am 650 is more powerfull and made in America. Buy Can-Am
@GJpowderhound16 жыл бұрын
Pretty impressive. However, 5 feet of powder, LMFAO. No way a Quad will generate enough track speed to go thru deep powder. What I see is a real good base with maybe a foot of pow on top.
