I have the Yamaha Sigma V100E basically the same bike and motor but 102cc(same mikuni 16mm) and a 4 speed with modernized frame and aesthetics. They're low rpm torque monsters! I can't get over how quick the V80 is, it gives bigger bikes a run for their money on the stoplights!

Red lights aren't for oil on these it's a speed warning that's standard on all japanese native bikes 😁👍

Sorry, Mate. You got it wrong about the speed light...basically anyone can hop on this bike with a normal driving permit...But mostly it's high school kids that need these little bikes ( mostly modern scooters, they choose) to get to far away schools...hence the speed limit ( i mean they are stupid kids who don't know how to ride at speed yet ). We wouldn't want those poor teenagers hurting themselves by nipping around at 45 MPH !!! Their parents wouldn't have it! Of course normal folk just buy a 70 / 90 cc version. So to summarize: 31 km per hour is SPEEDING over here on a 50 cc bike. Sorry to rain on your Irish estate....
