VLもFMも表現力の幅が広くていいですね。2000年頃はアナログモデリング全盛でみんなローランドのJP8000とかにコンプ掛けてトランスやってた時代。ヤマハはFS1RでフォルマントやったりVOCALOIDやったり実験的でしたね。その後初音ミクで大当たりして一時代を築くことになるとは。

このyamaha motif（及びmotif rack）にプリセットされているサウンドで、 "Birth"や"No gravity"、"Galaxy"などがめちゃくちゃ好きで、よく楽器店でいじってました。（笑） この動画で演奏されてるどの音も懐かしさ満載で聴いてました。

MOTIF-RACK プラグインボードで、PLG150-DX+PLG150-APの組合せで、FMエレピとCFⅢピアノのレイヤーとかしていたのが懐かしい MOTIFからMOTIF-RACKになって同時発音数も62から128に増え、得した気分になったのもいい思い出です。

There is no need for this. Korg has done everything with Gadgets for the iPad as well. Yamaha was never able to overcome its own shadow, it didn't have such defining tones in the Motifs, which unfortunately were patched up for more than 10 years.

HALion Sonic has some older MOTIF presets but they really don't hold a candle to the "real" ones. I compared a few of them to my XF's (which has some presets that were carried over from the Classic and ES without replacing the samples) and HALion's lost every time.

ソフトウェア音源でも超大容量サンプルや物理モデルの管楽器音源はあるけど、それらより遥かに良い音に聞こえる。VL音源。今後の新製品に搭載して欲しい。

Had motif 8 the month it came out with VL,An and DX. Miss the An and VL in Montage 8 still a great synth. Use my Korg Z1 to fill in for the VL..

It would be nice of Yamaha if they appreciated all those who appreciated it over the years and bought its synthesizers and modules with PLG boards. My idea was to produce PLG with memory expansions so that users of MU modules, synthesizers S30, S80, EX5, EX7, PSR7000 and others could upload there samples of those sounds that were weak in them and were introduced over the years to the MOTIF series . I am thinking about guitars and pianos, which unfortunately were weak in the instruments mentioned above.

I have had a second-hand motif rack 15 years ago. Poor sounds, except few ep's and strings. I do remember also an AP plug in card, with acoustic piano samples. Would be interesting to find one and test it out 😊

@@Simbor-rh1djI guess it's a matter of opinion. I always adored the Motif engine's samples. They're such a great balance of realism and cheesy synth tone. Sort of "cartoon" caricatures of acoustic instruments. They are incredibly endearing in my opinion.

いつも見ているとその楽器が欲しくなるほど素敵な動画で楽しませてもらってますが、ソフトシンセや音源モジュールのレビュー時は、MIDIキーボードとしてArturia KEYLAB61mk2を使われていることが多いようなので、その理由はなんでしょうか？また、このキーボード背後のUSB端子に挿してあるUSB分配器のようなものはなんでしょう？電源供給用？ パソコン環境やオーディオインターフェースなど、デモ演奏環境なども、ご紹介していただく動画があるとうれしいです。

なんで最近のY社はVL音源がイラナイ子扱いされてるかね。あんなに貴重な資産なのに。まぁハードは作っても売れない時代なのはわかるけど、ここは一つ意地を見せてほしい。それからCS-80の復刻、モデリングでいいのでやってほしい。キモはあのリボンコントローラーよ！あれだけはなかなか他で再現できん。

令和となって、MOTIF RACKは刺激はない、というよりエバーグリーンなサウンドです（なお、ワイはES rack）

I think I would pay more a little bit in order to get the Motif Keyboard, rather than the Racks.

This is especially true for the original Motif "Classic" rack as it has some very serious timing issues. The Rack ES is fine but you can't load any sample banks on it since it has no user RAM unlike the keyboard. Not that it really matters honestly, most of the sample-based banks you'd want to load got ported to the XS and XF anyway, if you're looking to get a Motif I'd say don't get any but the XF unless you really love the Gamecube-Wii era sound of the Classic and ES.
