best demo of any workstation I've seen. Straightforward, and to the point. Letting the consumer hear the sounds of the keyboard. What a concept!

Your videos perfectly demonstrate why it's not just about how good a particular keyboard's sounds are, but how well a keyboardist can manipulate and play those sounds. Great video. Excellent playing. Thank you.

I needed to go to bed and sleep, but kept on searching for Motif XF videos that were reasonably good and SHOWED me what these machines can do. Thanks to this very well played demo, I can now GO! Yayyy! Next stage.....to buy one. Somehow.

I thought Gospel musicians had it all but this guy is the complete package in musicianship! I really need to get practicing and find a good teacher.
@JozeatTxb
@JozeatTxb 10 ай бұрын
Modern "Gospel musicians" learn the craft from emulating these old-school masters! Of course they would not always tell you that . Sadly there are ever fewer of these masters left to teach the craft, and as well these days few of us can be bothered to put in the work it takes, preferring the easy sample route/already made chord tracks via software etc.

@01:40 Insane Guitar Solo 😍😍👏👏. Love the way Mr.K's foot even responds to the magic ("manfully" lifts off upwards ) as he bends the guitar (ahem Keyboard) on the low note🙃(@01:51) !! Prodigious performance, prodigious machines these motifs.🤏

Updated sounds (741mb against XS's 300 and so mb), and one of its biggest keypoints it's that you can expand its memory, installing flash cards that can acomodate gigs of your own sounds (hence the "f" on its name). And the best part: You turn on your instrument, the samples you need are ready to play, like the internal sounds. No more RAM memory, except the 128mb included for temporary sample edits. And then you can use external storage for backup purposes, as always.

Pretty humbling. Does he use his talents to really create something? I hope so. It's kind of weird, seeing someone with his overwhelming talent, discussing features of a synth. Most of the guys doing this on KZbin are total hacks. This guy is SCARY skilled.

@Drajfovic Speaking of maximums, KZbin has a max character limit on it's comments. To sum it up, if you have ever used a USB audio interface, even one that is USB2.0, you'll notice tremendous amounts of latency. (which manufactures find ways to use real time monitoring to allow it to be barely useable). Firewire interfaces have near-zero latency. This is because all USB buses run through the host processor, while FireWire is a dedicated, independent bus. Google the white papers for more info.

@Drajfovic Don't be deceived by the numbers. USB2.0 has a 'theoretical maximum throughput' of 480Mbps and yes FW400 has a 'maximum' of 400Mbps. However, that being said, the sustained data rate is what is truly important. USB2.0 has real world sustained data rates of about 240Mbps on average, which is about half of what people believe it is running, while FW400 has real-world rates of about 393Mbps, pretty damn close to its maximum. Sustained data rates are most important with streaming audio.

Now I know you're name! Finally. Though... why do you, Katsunori Ujiie, sound so much more enthusiastic in Japanese? Nerves maybe? ;) Great demo though. Better then the demo of Bert with the XS if you ask me. Though tap tempo only now on a Motif is a bit sad. Tyros and Stagea organs already had this. At least, Tyros 2 for sure (I know cause I got one).

Just tested the motif xf in the music store. Nice WS...however it seems quit cheap & anoying only to be able to buy "FW16E FIREWIRE EXPANSION IEEE1394 S-400 (393Mbit/s)" which is slower than USB2 (480 Mbit/s). Imagen that every Apple LapTop is now days supplyied with Firewire S-800. Is S-400(the stone age) enough? Do we need S-800? I would say No & Yes..fuk'n..yes. Yamaha customers need a new Firewire Expansion supporting S-800 in motif xf. Simple as that!
