YAMAHA MOTIF XF Demo 3/3 Features

The 128mb provided with XF is designed to do your records and edits to the sample. The idea is that you use the flash expansion cards (FL512M and FL1024M) to keep your high-quality samples permanently. When you power off and power back on, the samples are already there to be played, just like the internal sounds, instead of waste our precious minuts loading the sounds into RAM memory. Kurzweil and (I guess) Korg, are already diving into this as well.

Steve Jump He is a Sound Designer, and been that for many years for the big Companies. Companies just send him new synths and he makes sounds on them, and demo's them as a bonus. :)

@guruthemarusaki It was MIDI data. You can see the display in Cubase shows MIDI notes, not waveform. When you open the Cubase project the next day it will play the notes to the sounds in the XF. You could change the sounds later if you want.

Not quite up to par with the Roland Fantom G without the big screen and pads but this unit sounds great and is a very powerful instrument. I cannot wait to play one.

Ryuichi Sakamoto never chooses a crappy stage keyboard. Between 2010 and 2012 YMO live performances he used the Motif.

Does flash allow me to loAd wav files from a HD such as drums. Create a userkiT and make tracks and have all editing features of that wav as if it were a stock sound?????

is the sound much of a difference ? what do you recomend, xf6 or the mox8 ? they're not that much away.... but the mox8 has heavier keys and i dont really need a recorder on the keyboard.....

Всё что я посмотрел, в вашей публикации - это всё замечательно. Трудности только в переводе на русский, но это дело времени. Есть некоторые вопросы в настройках и интеграции, не могу на 100% разобраться с програмными настройками.

Just tested the motif xf in the music store. Nice WS...however it seems quit cheap & anoying only to be able to buy "FW16E FIREWIRE EXPANSION IEEE1394 S-400 (393Mbit/s)" which is slower than USB2 (480 Mbit/s). Imagen that every Apple LapTop is now days supplyied with Firewire S-800. Is S-400(the stone age) enough? Do we need S-800? I would say No & Yes..fuk'n..yes. Yamaha customers need a new Firewire Expansion supporting S-800 in motif xf. Simple as that!

Now days computers have very good CPU performance so that wouldnt be an issue for USB2. Still not agree that FW400 is better alternative. PERIOD!
