You need to reassign the steering to opposite as you don't actually steer a motorcycle like a bicycle. Anything over 50km requires counter steering which if you can imagine sitting on a motorcycle doing say 150kph - to turn left you actually push the left bar forward and vice versa, That is what tilts the bike to corner. On a bicycle going slower of course left is left and right is right. Just google motorcycle counter steering. You do this naturally on a motorcycle without even realising it. This was part of the precision riding course we had to do with Honda Australia and the Western Australian Police Force. Next time you're on the road try it out and you will understand what I mean. Slowly push the left bar away and the bike will lean left accordingly, Then try pushing the right bar so the front wheel is actually facing left, but you're actually going right. Even seasoned riders don't realise it and have never heard of Counter Steering. This info is intended for anyone setting up a Bike SIM front end and anyone into bikes in general that do not know about Counter steering. I guarantee if you setup your SIM bars the same as in real life, It will feel 100x more realistic. Sorry for the rant but it's an interesting concept that took me years to realise it. I don't think people naturally counter-steer. That is why people that take a riding course are 80% less likely to get in an accident. If it happens to the unaware it is maybe from road camber in the curves and body positioning as they lean for turning. I think most people pull on the bars like they are steering a car. My body and brain would not trust the idea and it was a major breakthrough when I was able to force myself to push left to turn left on the second day of class.

@@NoSpamForYou That's right mate, I should have rephrased my original post. It happens without naturally, consciously doing it as such. You are right in saying that it would be pretty freaky if we actually thought about it.

Sounds similar as counter steering in cars. As long as the controller had force feedback, it should feel natural to the user.

There was one, called lean gp, but never made it to the market, probably team abandoned the project. Also there isn't much of a market for consumer full bike controllers, they are going to be big and also, not convenient to keep in a normal home. Some people have the space, but you gotta think in everyone's situation, though i would love a full bike controller.

That controller's probably much more comfortable to use if you find the table clamp; I was thinking of hacking one of those to play Harley-Davidson 1997 on my Sega Model 3 with a screw terminal block and DB15 cable routed through the controller port hole. If it works I may get another to actually use on PC since sadly there is no market for a motorcycle controller, and the Thrustmaster Freestyler's actually pretty dang flimsy too. The spring mechanisms are horrible and use cheapo B10K pots. And that other Interact handlebar for N64/PS1 is no better; that is hot garbage in terms of build quality.

I tried the deluxe HD & LA Riders game once and I think the steering is backwards from what I remember. I was wondering if the gearing that leans the bike could be reversed so the bike actually countersteers properly.

Yes, the cabinet has a potentiometer for the steering. It should be possible to swap the two outer wires (5V and gnd) to make the game countersteer. I own the original boardset and was once able to wire up the Yamaha controller to the PCB by connecting the potentiometers directly to the game board. Unfortunately my wiring was very shoddy and I had the throttle spring pop loose on me, so I had to dispose of that one :\ If your table clamp doesn't fit your desk, it should be possible to hacksaw down the plastic a bit, using a vice.

A motorcycle does not work like that... You actually turn the handle bar left to turn the bike right.. and turn the handle bar right to turn the bike left... No wonder why no one buys this things.. way far from reality
