Hi Sébastien. I'm from Portugal. I made some of the work, but welding and lathe was made by somebody else. These are a one off... and I still have to make some akrapovic ends for it.

How is the torque affected? Did you make dynos?
@whisperdancer7 жыл бұрын
Trabucco0 i didn't put the bike on a dyno. I've been running with the smaller diameter db killers. I always think there is a flat spot between 2000 and 3000rpm. Recently I changed to the stock mufflers just to clear the doubt, and the flat spot is worse. If using the larger diameter, the bike goes much better, with more grunt in the lower rpm range. It just seems more progressive. But it's too loud for me...

Thanks for reporting back. Still a dyno would be important for me before investing money. There are dynos out that proof for example that even these akrapovic take power in lower rpm. So for me it is important to have sound *and* still got the same (or more :) torque. "Mindestens 10 Nm Einbuße gegenüber dem ebenfalls sensationell klingenden Serienauspuff bei 2000 U/min." // Minimum 10 Nm loss ... at around 2000 U/min. Trabucco0 well, I can't really tell, only by feel. I remember when I tried the larger db killers the bike pulled harder at low rpm. I never took off the db killers, though... The exhaust gas pulses near the end caps make some strange and horrible noises. I had to pull the db killer tube to the exterior of the end caps (by using spacers) for the sound to be clean. Also the basket didn't work soundwise: sound is awfull!
