Thanks for this great video! Doing it to my Mt today, its at 89000km now and clutch is slipping at higher rpm in 4th and 5th gear. I just wish you showed removing the cover…

Did you drain any engine oil? Or does leaning the bike over make this not needed? Also did you fit a new cover gasket or get any oil leaks afterwards? Great video thanks will be fitting this to my 7000 mile 2006 soon as slipping in 4th gear now! Cheers!

***** I kept the oil from the engine, motorcycle tires resisted. I did not mention gasket sorry for my English :)

+TRUFEL thanks have done my bike now your video was a great help. Here are a few tips I gained: Only needed to lean the bike over a little bit and when I took off the cover didn't spill even a single drop of oil. Loosened the bracket between the cover an oil tank that was slight fiddle to be honest but not impossible. I bought a new gasket and used it to make a cardboard template and popped holes in the cardboard to store all the 17 Allen bolts as I took the clutch cover off. Before you pull the cover off bend back the tab as the rear (RHS of the cover at frame) as it clips the cable that goes inside the cover to what seem to be a crank position sensor. Then pop the cover on the footrest like you did the cable will be loose enough after bending the black metal clip back from the frame. I used 3 of each spring like you did, the clutch lever is a bit heavy now in traffic but manageable and no clutch slip (mine has slipped since 6000 miles now 8000 miles and was becoming a pest). Used a Teng 1/4" torque wrench to tighten the pressure plate Allen bolts and also the clutch cover bolts. All nice and easy done in easy 45 minutes.

thanks for this video. highly interested in installing such thing on my MT 01. Can you describe - does this fix clutch issues?
@TomajNo10 жыл бұрын
yes, my clutch was slipping to, but when I changed a spring conversion, the trouble with clutch was over
@gswaru10 жыл бұрын
TRUFEL and did you changed friction plates too or not? was them all ok and how many kilometers you ride before conversion?
@TomajNo10 жыл бұрын
gswaru I have driven 45000 km , and I'm in the middle of discs used , all the discs . I know cases when after 15000 km already a slithering clutch . For me calm enough to 100000 km .
