A day at the track in portimão , wet track in the morning and almost dry in the afternoon.
I was very carefully after a year and half of my racing crash (broken hip)
So i was cruising and try to get some good laps.

Love your channel-love our MT-10’s-love your street riding-here’s my 2c on the track: @ 2:12-2:15 use the weight transfer from on throttle to off throttle/brakes/downshift to move all the way from the right side of the seat to the left side. Then for that left you’re setup for....there’s a short jaunt hard on the throttle before another left hand turn....just stay off to the left side with your butt. Every time you move it costs energy you could be using to focus your mind on markers/passing/pushing your limits. Every time you scoot even a little bit it upset the chassis and gives you a vague, shitty feeling. Move less, more more all at once during the throttle to braking translation....and then move again for setup into the next corner on the upshift. Sounds odd-is super simple I. Practice and leaves you to focus on much harder tasks. I hope I don’t sound like an internet troll but I had to mention it since you’re doing SO many other things extremely well that are impressive! Stay safe!!

Thank you for the support, i notice I have alot of things to correct in track but I think I have good bases to get better. It was only my 3rd trackday with the MT10, I already read about that move the body when you apply the brake. Thanks for helping .

Well, this "3rd trackday" doesn't seem to be the whole story. In the description it says something about racing crash, hmm...maybe, kinda, not telling the whole story. Maybe 3rd t-day on "this" bike???

Little bikes are actually better than heavy faster bikes. Guys like me who ride tracks all have a lot of respect for them. Some of us has been passed by some. A 2stroke 250 will hang with a 600 all day.

I broke my left hip last March leaving me with a plate, 2 screws, and a serious anchor bolt in the ball joint. Was back on the bike that following June! Definitely gained a sub for the quality of the video as well :D Take care mate!

Love this video, I have exactly the same model, same colour etc. I did the GP circuit at Silverstone on mine in 2019 and could not believe what a weapon it was. The only thing I would change for track days from standard are the rearsets, otherwise you will wear your boots out! I only live about an hour from that track and got a few comments about the extended pillion pegs that I forgot to take off, as I had recently been touring on it with my Mrs - with the touring kit, what a bike! Just make sure you know where all the fuel stations are going to be on your journey! If you just one bike that can do it all - choose this!

"superbike killer" is a silly tag. MT10 is basically a superbike anyway. I mean, they call them supernakeds for a reason. They are 90% of a superbike but with a more comfortable and confidence inspiring riding position. Fast riders will get more out of R1 for sure, but a lot people would go faster on something like an MT10.
@lingenfelterzeeohhsix8154

But if you've ever rode one you'll know it's harder to track than a sport, also quite a bit less hp and heavier so it's soenthing to kill door bikes on an mt10. Ice had an R1M and a modified MT10 and seriously enjoyed the MT10 more and had better track times on the MT10 with 22 hp less and 55 lbs heavier than my R1M so says soenthing. This guy killed it , hats off to him! FYI the MT10 has 160hp and the R1M 202 plus much heavier on the MT10 so yeah that title is true and impressive, no reason to take anything away from him for destroying supersports on a naked that upright, heavier and less hp. This dudes got skill! But I do agree they are 90% supersport and mean as hell,...but also sooooo comfortable! 👍

Thanks , one more time. The big diference in straight with the mt10 i only can do 265kph and with a normal 1000cc superbike i can do 300kph . Its a big diference.

There needs to be some sort of context. There are varying aspects to be taken into account. What was the standard of the other riders? How hard were they actually pushing? Does the track layout play to the strengths of a bike like the MT10? I have done many track days as well as some racing and I have seen pretty much all there is to see in relation to this kind of video. I have ridden an R1 and had my arse kicked by R6s, CBR600s ect, because the track did not allow me to use my power advantage to the fullest. I also used to own an Aprilia RS250 and on the right track destroyed much more powerful bikes because of the lighter weight and incredible corner speed it could run.

Lots of low/mid range "stomp" when needed on a track with few high top end/speed parts ...nice ride but don't let it go to your head may be a well sorted "old" YPVS 350 Yam one day to show you a real balls to the wall ride the wheels of it superbike killer lap.

I LOVE THIS MOTORCYCLE!!! Thanks so much for the track time. It was great seeing you overtake. Grant it I realize with moto racing it's about the rider more than the moto. But, so what. If you have a great moto and don't use it to the best of it's ability, you lose.

Smooth consistent ride and awesome camera / production quality. I was wondering. I was a 15000 miles / year rider and used to participate in track days all the time on my 1993 yamaha YZF 750 and later on, on my 1999 R1. Even had a racing season in there on the yamaha FZR 600 and ended up being a middle of the pack rider. It's been 14 years since I've been on a bike now but I was wondering if the traction control and ABS on modern bikes would make it realistic to pick up riding again on a bike like an MT09 or MT10. Considering how my 1999 R1 had 0 riding aids with 130 HP on the rear tire. My first road bike was my YZF 750 and I had lots of negative comments back then for starting on something that "powerful".

I’ve had 9 liter bikes over the years but after a bad accident on my Ducati I couldn’t ride super sports anymore, too painful on my back, thank god for super nakeds and the MT10 but funny enough it’s by far my absolute favorite bike to ride track or street , obviously a bit down on power from my R1M I owned prior for jsut a few months but race filter , decat , Akro, EBC pads and an ECU remap and I was suprised it hung with the super sports and was a hell of a lot more fun. Definitely takes some adjusting to riding style when pushing it in the corners but once down it was a weapon. One of the top riders at our track is a white haired old British dude that has a tricked out Tuono V4 Factory and man he dominates the super sports . You’re definitely a more skilled track rider than me. Impressive man!

Yes , was doing 2.08 and my best is a low 2.06. Don't wanted to crash or damage the bike, its my dayly bike. Was trying to be consistent hitting my lines. Thanks

@@MiguelRomao_29 A 600cc is more lighter than a 1000cc. So it s more fast in turn, and more manageable. 🏍💨 Good choice and good luck for you work.
