I have a Neos, I do like it very much but battery life is terrible so can’t really use it without worrying I will run out of juice. Nearly ran out many times, and once had to take out the battery and walk last mile home to recharge it. Won’t upgrade and buy a dual as don’t want to charge each battery separately, it’s just too much work. If Yamaha can get a better battery and if you get the torque to be even more powerful so 0-30 is even faster so I don’t keep upsetting faster drivers behind me. Best is if you can allow a software override of the limiters for people who may decide to do a license upgrade whilst owning it, so it can act like a 125. Perhaps the Neos can have 2 settings like a normal and a ‘boost’ mode (like ypur electric bike idea but this time for boost from 50-125cc mode), for various licenses or even so we can share the bike between people who have both types of licenses. Wow now that could be even more useful and a unique selling point.

Same flaw as ever. Purpose built battery, zero interest. You manufacturers need to make universal battery system that you can combine to get bigger capasity. Until I can ride like scooter home and transfer battery to like different brand lawnmover and after that charge in some universal charging stations. ZERO INTEREST.

We appreciate your concerns and understand the importance of universal battery compatibility. Our involvement in the Swappable Batteries Motorcycle Consortium is a direct response to these needs. Along with Yamaha, Honda, KTM, and Piaggio, we are working towards standardized technical specifications for swappable batteries that could be used across different electric vehicles. This initiative aims to tackle challenges related to charging time, infrastructure, and overall costs, making electric vehicles more practical for everyday use. Your feedback is crucial for us as we strive to improve and innovate in this evolving landscape.
