Yamaha's NS-NSW100 is their first Wifi enabled #MusicCast subwoofer. Also called the Sub 100, this wireless sub features a forward facing 20cm driver and a powerful 130W amplifier. All of this functionally is wrapped up in a beautiful Piano Black cabinet. A twisted flare port keeps air flow nice and smooth, while the crossover will automatically adjust in order to blend with the #MusicCast wireless speakers.
So if you can’t run a cable from a receiver to a sub, or you have a ground loop hum from a TV antenna system, the Sub 100 is a perfect solution. You can also pair it with a MusicCast 20 or MusicCast 50 Wifi speaker to create a 1.1 or 2.1 music system with no interconnects!

You link the sub within the MusicCast app. It does not need dual band wi-fi

You might just have less pairing issues and a deference with ethernet.

Yes - Any MusicCast AVR, MusicCast Speaker or MusicCast Sound Bar can connect and control the MusicCast SW-100 subwoofer

Hi Kaleex. You don't connect this sub in a "triditional" way. You need one of the new Yamaha AV receivers (with 2.4GHz and 5GHz) and it connects via the MusicCast wireless network.

Wirelessly pair it to an RN-303, RN-4-2, RN-602 or RN-803. Otherwise, a non-wireless sub will need to be used.
