@Subo, I'm wondering how the top of the line Yamaha NS-SW1000 sounds like? since you said NS-SW300 pleasuring so much to you. In my country, Yamaha NS-SW subwoofer series available in NS-SW1000 only and it says power output 1.000 watts (max). Did you have experience watching movies with this subwoofer, how was it going?

I just received my Yamaha NS-SW300 today. I have a similar setup like yours connected to my desktop computer with an Y audio cable. The speakers are an old pair of Technics SB-EX3 and because they are passive I also purchased a small tda7498e cheap but powerful Chinese amplifier also connected to my PC. I'm impressed with the quality of sound I can get with such a cheap system. I did my research for subwoofers and was also looking at an Earthquake SleekWave CP8 Couch Potato from Earthquake Sound Corporation that they say it also can go down to 20Hz but it was out of stock so I think the Yamaha NS-SW300 might be the best price/quality available in the market, I cannot put the volume louder than level 3 to 5 because it shakes the windows and everything in my room.😀

You need to connect it to pre-out subwoofer in your receiver.

Si tu equipo es un Bose con un solo conector de salida hacia todos los parlantes por medio del subwoofer?, debes dividir la linea de salida derecha e izquierda delanteras que salen de tu subwoofer Bose (1 rca macho a 2 hembras, necesitaras 2 de estos conectores) en cada hembra conectas el parlante derecho e izquierdo como de costumbre, las otras 2 hembras que quedan libres (derecha e izquierda), debes llevarlas a los conectores de entrada de tu subwoofer yamaha, las que tienen el conector tipo cilindro de solo cable, prueba también el los rca, puede que igual funcione.
