Exactly the info I needed to go attack my trim, which has suddenly stopped doing anything. I will start y by doing some relay and motor tapping with a hammer/screwdriver, but now I have a clue as to what is going on in there. Thank you so much !

I’ve just had the same issue but I replaced the trim relay and the motor will still trim up but not down. I touched the green to the red and it trims down just fine.

check the voltage you a drawing when the switch is hit and also the voltage that the motor is producing while running. Not to mention your battery health. Seems by what you are saying that it points to a low voltage situation while running the tilt. Please let us know so we can benefit from your findings. Thanks

Yamaha 115 4 stroke power tilt problems, By passed relay made noise bars went all the way down. Will not go up or down now. how to check tilt motor.

2014 F200 , not exact but close enough. The relay is under a black planel with two black screws above the fuse panel. Touching as described had zero results. Volt meter shows 12 volts on blue wire with motor switch up, 12 volts on green wire with motor tilt down. My tilt moter is gone.. Thank you

Any idea why the trim buttons work on the motor but not the throttle switch? I just replaced the throttle control box with a brand new yamaha 704 replacement and now my trim buttons dont work at the throttle control

It's wire, not cable. Were the wire connecting screws that loose to start with or did you loosen them before recording? Check all your electical connections for tightness before buying a new relay.

I stand corrected on “wire not cable”’ . Now for you: It is electrical not electival, LOL. Yes, I loosened the wire connections nuts ( not screws)before recording, And you are absolutely correct on checking for tightness on all connections. I have a Yamaha 150 that I’m having issues with. The tilt motor works for about 5 seconds and then it looses power like a toy running out of batteries. If I let it sit it seems to “charge up”…. Then after tilting up or down it looses juice. Where should I look? I appreciate any help you can give me. Thank you

There is a screw release on the motor by the bracket. Please be careful when turning it if the motor is up.When you turn the screw with a flat head it will release the pressure to lift and lower the motor without tilt motor working,

They do vary. I paid. $45 for mine. China sells them also on eBay but I preferred a used one original..

Remove the flywheel cover. remove the air intake cover on the port side where the vst is at. Remove the smaller plastic cover below the cover that has 4 bolts. That will expose the relay for trim and the starter relay also. Please get back to us and share so we can see how it went for you. Thank you

My motor started trimming up on its own today. I took the cowling off and jiggled the wires around the switch on the motor and it hasn’t done it again. Any idea what I should do next?

Check the wires for damage and replace as merited. Maybe there is a peeled exposed wire making ground. Let us know! Good luck

My F200 tilt/trim motor constantly running in the upward position. Only way to stop it from running is to press the down button on either the motor or the helm controller. Or turn off the batteries. Any idea what's is wrong? Is that a relay issue?

hello. I would start with checking for a stuck switch. Check your helm switch and the motor switch. Sounds like one of them is stuck or gets stuck on the up position.

When I touch my blue wire to red nothing happens but if the blue wire is bolted where its supposed to go I get a low hum but nothing happens. Any ideas?

Does it move up or down in your test? Green= down and blue=up. Also ( just in case) check your fluid level. Please let us know.

@Florida4Funshine Channel they do not, just get clicking from relays. Dual F200xca's and just don't see both solenoids going at the same time. Worked perfect last time I used them

@@WilliamSmith-xb1frIt sounds like the motor could be bad. But, before anything you need to check for power to the motor when you are pressing your switches. You can use a multi meter to check for voltage to the motor and continuity at the switches.
