hi, i bought 2 dzr12 in december 2019 now both are in warranty, sure those speakers are louder but you need to take care because it's very diferent to use this speakers. i'm from mexico. and i will put those speakers in sale, i don't really like and i have 2 DXR12 and o love them.

These are Yamaha’s new flagship speakers, I’m guessing they will cost much more than a Dbr12. Other than that these should be great.

DZR and DXR are better than the DBR. DBR is Yamaha's lowest grade but still classy speakers. DSR are wood based and heavier but great quality. DXS is the sub series.

Pricing range is completely different. These aren't going to compete with or replace the DBR series.

I have DZR10-D. I measured them and the SPL Peak spec is off by 20dB. Yamaha confirmed “that’s correct” They also mentioned that they don’t know how they measure them in China and so the North America folks can’t confirm how they get their specifications.

@@dantonliam NOT AT ALL DUDE. SUBS IN THIS SERIES ARE AWESOME. BUT PUT A DZR12 VS A DSR12 AND YOU REALLY CAN TELL THE DIFERENCE. DSR ARE BRIGTHER AND LOUDER.

@@AlexMartinez-hr5gm DZR should definitely be better than DSR and DXR including the DXRMKII series coming out this summer. DZR is Yamaha's flagship top of the line speaker. The DZR's need adjusted with the LCD readout for maximum quality not comparing a DZR out of the box with factory settings to a DSR or DXR. Not fair comparison.

@@JonTisch well, you may be right. I heard them twice. Frist time in the oficial Yamaha demonstrstion. Second, in a series of test whit a friend of mine who has the Dzrs ( i own some dsr models) I am a profesional engeenier and we did several test, from pink noise to speech, music an line instruments. We did several adjustements on the dzr DSP, but let me tell you ( Maybe personal taste) the dsr was brigther, louder and cleaner. We Even cloud heard some air didtortortion when hearing the dzr up close. The test was intended for me to change my old dsr gear for the " new and enchanted dzr". But it ended whit me keepin my dsrs and my friend wanting to change his dzr rig. Maybe personal taste Maybe not. Remember, "New" not allways mean better.

THE SUBS SOUND GREAT, BUT THEY LOOK PRETTY BAD. IN FRIST PLACE THE SHOULD PUT A COMPLETE PIECE GRILL. ONE COMPLETE PIECE, NOT OPEN PORTS SHOWING UP. THEY LOOK PRETTY UGLY. SECOND PLACE THE MATERIAL OF THE EXTERNAL CUSHION GIRL IT IS JUST A MAGNET FOR DUST, HUMIDITY AND SCRATCHES IF NOT BROKEN LEATHER. I MEAN, YOU ARE YAMAHA A PRO AUDIO COMPANY. AND YOU PUT A PIECE OF UNPROTECTED LEATHER IN FRONT OF A SUB. FOR "TOURING MUSICIANS" ( AS YOU SAI IN YOUR WEB SITE). COME ON, THIS IS A HUGE MISTAKE AND A BIG DISSAPOINMENT.
