Still a great sounding home keyboard after all these years. Honestly could give the modern ones a run for their money.

My question is can you save the user memory on floppy disk so you can just load and save them and also i want to change my floppy drive to the new usb Drive emulator can it work?

Hello from France. Thank you for the video. I have a question for you. I have a psr 540 too and I don't know if I can save some sounds "directly" in the PSR 540 to play different parts of songs. Thank you for your answer !

Howdy, there are a few ways to do that. The easiest way is to save a midi file to a floppy disk from a computer. You can then load the disk, press Song, press Play, and you can play on the keyboard on top of the song. You can also load styles into the Style memory bank from a floppy disk. I think it's a proprietary file format (.sty). I do not know where you could find styles online today... I haven't used this keyboard in a while. Many years ago, there was a Yamaha XG forum and website. You can record sounds directly into the Multipad by following: Record -> select 'Multipad' -> Next -> select Userpad 1 -> Next -> Next -> Next -> play your melody on the keyboard -> Stop. Then load Userpad 1 by following: Function -> Next -> scroll until you find Bank 37 -> Next -> Exit. The keyboard manual mentions that you can upload multipads from a floppy disk, but it does not describe how to...?
