It's unfortunate that Peter didn't have a bench to sit on. The keyboard was too low, and Peter was clearly uncomfortable. I've been paying attention and this is really an amazing keyboard with many of the Genos features built in, as well as some really wonderful new tools. Peter needed more time to fully develop his presentation, and more to-the-point translation. I'm saving my money now. The Yamaha PSR SX900 should become available for purchase in the United States by October, and will be discounted through such places as Sweetwater or Kraft Music. I play a bit older Yamaha, the PSR S770, and the improvements found in the PSR SX900 are so dramatic that I hope to have purchased my own copy by Christmas. Just remember that this is primarily being presented as a solo instrument, but with modifying playing technique works amazingly well, in fact, impressively so, as a replacement for many boards within group presentations.

No matter how its marketed, how it's wrapped up, or how its promoted, They will never put the Tyros/Genos sound quality in a PSR series. When I listen to the SX900 instruments its like listening to my old PSR8000 keyboard. The styles have improved but instrument quality is 20 years behind Tyros and Genos. Its a shame.

Just the crappy old CF samples. They should use CFX samples considering this keyboard is 2000$. CFX Concert Grand is about 10 years old yet they can't put it to all arranger keyboards. What a shame. MODX is 1299$ but has CFX samples. SX900 2200$ but crappy CF samples that doesn't sound like CF????? They should make an piano expansion pack for sx700 and 900. Yamaha are arrangers are expensive but has crappy sounds for it's price. Stripping voices and styles extremely in the lower end SX models. They should stop doing that.

I thought, the SX 900 would include Revo Drums. The most amazing thing is, how much things it doesn't include. It's a Tyros 2 with additional sounds and the Flash ROM of Tyros 4.
