Join me as I share a personal story that many motorcycle enthusiasts can relate to. From my humble beginnings with the R15 back in 2008 to the heartbreak when the R3 was discontinued, this journey is a testament to the emotional connection we share with our two-wheeled companions. As an R15 fan boy, I hate to say this but Yamaha has a really really uphill battle when it comes to this motorcycle. Definitely a tough sell at CBU pricing.

This bike will be dead on arrival…no features no road presence…the least yamaha could have done is addition of slipper assist clutch….since there are many options in the market it will not sell well and yamaha will discontinue it saying sales are not great…..good luck u bloody yamaha playing with enthusiasts emotions

Many years ago when RX series and RD 350 series launched but many of us don't like high pricing now every one wants RX &RD but difficult to get a good one. One day maybe in the future everything will be electric and we will mis these petroHeads 🥺 and tell our kids about thease bikes ❤

Atleast accept. This is a stupid update. Not even an update. They giving inferior products to us. Pricing is and will be bad forever. Highly disappointed with R3. It's looking way to old and absolutely zero features kr whatever you may call. It's just bad.

Purely from a riding experience man. Take a test ride as soon as you get an opportunity. We can't not fault it for the missing kit, but the riding experience just so good.

The review along with the cinematic shots was fun to watch. I have one question tho, will it be accompanied by a slipper clutch? As some of the other reviewers have been saying that it does come with it while others are denying it. I will be buying it regardless but I'm still curious.

These bikes, in Thailand, did not come with a slipper clutch. And we are told that this is the spec we will get in India.

R3 competes more with Ninja 300 in my opinion, rather than the 400 Kawasaki has really managed to keep the 300 prices in check, 4-4.5L will be almost 1L higher OTR. A tough sell but for the utmost fanatics

@@nabeelkhan4878agreed ! 🤝 … in 2013 ninja 300 was 4 lakhs On-Road while Duke 390 was 2.12 lakhs…. Though N300 sold…. So I agree to the point that R3 would be a better dynamic motorcycle for enthusiasts

They are trying to clear the old stock it will be discontinued as soon as the stock clears up & there will be owners with an outdated bikes and they will struggle for parts and service.

With this price it will be a big challenge for Yamaha to sell R3 in India until you want to buy just like that money laying around. We would rather recommend wait for the new version of R3 with similar features like the R15 V4M.

Design toh outdated tha hi atleast tech r15m ke saath same de dete.. both tech and design reminds ppl of r15 v3 lol😂 also it's an import unit Edit: benefits include more comfortable riding position and low seat height..also design of old r3 was miles better

Did they learn nothing from their previous launch? Why the hell would they launch it as a CBU? as if they don't even want to compete in the Indian market. A blunder like this is really unexpected from a brand like Yamaha.. that too twice. Are they not seeing what the RC390 and Aprilia RS457 are offering?

Now, I am really understanding why Yamaha is reluctant to release the bikes. Our market is filled with senseless people who want bikes with bluetooth instrument cluster, quick shifter etc. What they dont see is hows the engine and the basics. Did I forget to mention quality, fit and finish and reliability. That's why RC390 is much appreciated than R3 or Ninja 300!

Problem is not of people being senseless; it's Yamaha's carelessness by not giving importance to its product, quick shifter and traction control are not frills, they are necessary for a bike capable of doing 190 kmph. Do you work for Yamaha?

@@MAX-xw8xq I agree but its a 40PS bike so traction control is really not needed. Trust me. And second of all, quick shifter is a good to have feature and thanks to KTM it has become necessary. My point is you can have a bike without features but not without proper basics.

​@@MAX-xw8xq Tbh, TC is unnecessary on anything under 60 PS. The most important bits are slip and assist clutch, adjustable levers, multiple throttle map/ riding mode, cornering ABS ( if you ever ride in the hills, you'd know why ), some amount of adjustability in the suspension and TPMS. The console is not really important to me as you hardly stare at it.

@i_am_samar i agree that there is a big feature deficit and that it will hurt sales. And if that is a deal breaker for you, that is absolutely fine as well. What i am saying is that the R3, while riding it, makes you forget about the features. Yes, it is that good. And the clutch is not heavy. We rode it for around 700kms and did not feel that at all. We want different things from our motorcycles, and that is the beauty of the culture. Good thing is that we have a market that has offerings for us both.

Bad decision, downfall aane wala yamaha ka har segment me overpriced hai no dought best machine par budget bhi matter krta hai R3 ke lie bohot excited tha booking karane wala tha but sirf power matter nhi krta thoda features chahiye. R15 best R3 se atleast price ke hisab se features to deta hai
