Yianny you do know you can also get the LC500 as a convertible right? I mean you were really keen on the porsche because its a convertible and were saying you could do with a convertible in your life. Well if you go to autotrader there is a good few LC500 convertibles within budget. One of which is bang on £80k in white black roof black interior. Looks awesome. The benefit of the convertible is you get the full experience of the exhaust sound of the car which is amazing. Also when you test drive the LC500 remember that it is a GT not a sports car so while its "quick" its not a missile its just swift but designed more for wafting with urgency.

Being totally ignored is definitely an Audi showroom thing, at least in Europe. I'm convinced its part of their sales protocol that salesmen don't approch you when you come in. you can wonder around both the forecourt and and the new car section for a solid 20 mins and no one will come up to you. In fact their on-to-one desks are always tucked away in the back so you can't apprroch a salemn until you ask for somone at the helpdesk.

I had a similar experience with Audi. They leave the door open for anyone to walk in a see all the cars. No pressure, no sales men running over to push a sale. They let you wonder around freely. The cars speak for themselves. I admit it took also a while for a sales men to come over. Once they did super friendly and got me into a test drive car right away. Once they get your contact. Email/Texts, they follow up and share options. I think it's Audis way of selling and stopping the stigma of going to a dealer and getting rushed over with a sales option.

Hi Yianni. In my experience, from someone who has worked in sales and directly with customers, it is a hard line to walk between greeting customers and not greeting them. Some people really want to be greeted while others want to be left alone. I have had people extremely happy about me greeting them, but also had people absolutely furious I went over to them and greeted them, because they just wanted to be left alone. It is hard to say, but yeah I would always greet someone when they walked in, regardless if they liked it or not. When someone enters "my home" I always say hi and ask if I can help them. So yeah, AUDI might be a bit behind compared to Lexus and Porsche :)

Even when I finally made contact they did not seem interested in a sale. I was looking to order a new A5 for cash - one of the first in the UK. There were only two models at the time 3.0 TDi and the S5. The TDI was about 48k (fully loaded). I left and went to Slough Audi - dressed the same. Met a chap called Sanjay. What a different experience. Took me as I was, not how I was dressed. He got the sale and car was ordered. My first RS6 also came from Slough Audi via Sanjay. Then things moved on and my latest RS6 was from Reading Audi (relocated and new company) - a much better experience than in 2008. / OK I am not in the league to buy some of your cars Yianni, but a 90k (one year old) RS6 is still a lot of money and I expect / demand absolutely 100% top attention and service. The 471hp to the crank is just not enough, due to the 4400-4500lbs that it has to pull around. And yeah, I know its an LC (Luxury Coupe). @Markyboy6993 ай бұрын
And this is the point - just because it's a daily doesn't mean he has to sacrifice 'fun'. The LC doesn't have a great bhp/tonne figure (approx 237) but then it looks and sounds great which muddies the waters. But I'm with the OP, it simply isn't fast enough and the novelty of the supercaresque looks/V8 sound will wane quickly. Given the size of the budget (80k gets you a LOT) Porsche seems the obvious choice because you can have your cake and eat it (meaning it will tick all the boxes, including 'fun'). Hell, given the very nature of a daily and it getting driven the most, one might argue that it needs to be the most fun of all of his cars!

However, I had gone to Audi in Stratford-Upon-Avon a month prior to look at the A3 and the saleswoman and reception staff were excellent, they went through all the options within my budget, showed me round a couple of cars they had in stock and made me feel important! Whilst I went for a different brand in the end, the service from Stratford was excellent!

I am guessing Yianni that after that call from the Audi Exec, that particular dealership got a bit of a telling off, and rightly so. Looking forward to the next instalment of this gripping saga, will he get a Porsche; will he get an Audi or will it be the Lexus. Only Yianni knows.............

Quite surprising. In my experience Audi customer service has generally been quite good. Love their cars but it’s obvious something has changed.

Yanni pls consider the Mercedes GLE . The car looks incredible despite Mercedes not having the best customer service

These are the kind of videos that the big tubers should be making on a regular basis. To specifically test customer service, etc... with different brands.

Premium car dealers are diabolical. We have BMW, Audi, Land Rover Jaguar and Mercedes and they are all the same you experienced at Audi! I even parked my 18 month old Mercedes C200 in front of a jaguar showroom window walked all around the showroom and nobody acknowledged or approached me.

I'm lucky enough to have just placed an order for a Macan GTS, and the service I got from the first visit up until ordering has been fantastic. What I expected but to actually experience it first hand was great. Big up OPC Colchester and Ian

I had a similar experience in Denmark-Audi provided no service mindset at all. On the other hand, I received exceptional service from Mercedes, which has made me loyal to their brand

Yani some people like to be left alone and ask for help when needed. Also if you watch back you said hi first to the Porsche dealer if you stayed quiet there is no telling how the interaction would of gone also they recognise you. Me personally I hate when sales people come and greet me when all I wanna do is see the cars and if I got a question then I don't mind talking to someone.

In Audi's defense, this is not the standard sales tactic and is something that the brand has been actively working on improving. I have worked in the network development department at the headquarters of the company, and we worked on many projects that are tied with improving the customer experience. On top of that, we tested monthly each dealer through mystery shopping to check the overall standards of each of Audi's dealerships. Sadly not all dealerships are quality-wise where they should be, but I know for a fact that Audi knows about this, and they are trying to improve.

Audi RS3 is a pocket rocket. getting gour wheel drive and 400 horsepower for under 80k is literally the best bang for buck.

LEXUS LC 500! 100% the noise, the interior, n/a v8. Did I mention the noise!? Another video on KZbin that made the owner almost cry its so good.

Absolutely agree. Audi Shrewsbury exactly the same attitude. Don’t deserve any custom whatsoever 🤷🏼♂️

Not isolated - walked into an Audi dealership a few weeks back in the South West - walked around the showroom for 5 minutes or so and then around the used area for another 10 minutes - not a single element of human contact.

I absolutely love Audi as a brand, currently looking to get an S3 myself. However, I have experienced the very same experience from 2 different Audi dealers in Yorkshire/Lincolnshire. They seem to have the “customer will approach us” and “the brand will sell itself for us” attitude, which is horrendous for such big brand.

you know what Yianni i think its VAG thing, Up in Leeds and Huddersfield in both VW and Audi dealers are set up the same. All the desk and workers are pushed to the far back or side of the showroom and both brands removed the reception desks completely. The idea is for them that when people do walk in someone from the office notices you and approach you. However with my experience as a current VW customer who comes in to get their car serviced. I found myself waiting 10 mins while staring towards the office hoping someone would acknowledge sometimes.

It is not the story about Audi that I expected but another story about himself who has something I don't have. I'm not talking about money but his smile. I wanna smile as he does. 😊

Hi mate, my partner and I just bought an rsq3 sport back-absolutely amazing car, we went to literally more than ten Audi dealerships in and around london and they were all pretty poor. Poole Audi was absolutely incredible compared to the rest, could not recommend them highly enough and if you want that RS3, they had 7 in stock when we went all in the forecourt
@BlueBearbw3 ай бұрын
the RS3 saloon has gotta be a great option because of the 5 cylinder sounding amazing - if you go with an rs6 it’s basically the same engine with a different shape

Can corroborate your experience at Audi Whetstone, that customer service definitely extends to people who go there for the first time. Was interested in an A3, went to a different Audi dealership in North London and found the service to be very pushy and one sided, but at Whetstone couldn’t have been better - friendly, understanding, and helpful. I spoke with Patrick there but seems like it extends to the whole team there. Good to see

One thing I hate at car dealerships is when I am hassled. I don't mind the walk up be asked "Hey how are you doing? Is there anything I can help you with or are you just browsing? Well my name is Yanny so, give me a shout if there's anything you want to ask me." That to me is perfect but often I find they're kinda pushy is I prefer to approach them then be approached.
