After not riding for over ten years I bought a Kawi Vulcan S which I ended up not liking, I traded it in on a 2024 R3 and could not be happier! It's so easy to ride, it gives me lots of confidence which I lost having ridden the heavier, bigger Vulcan. I don't feel like a total noob on the R3 it's a blast! My one small complaint is that I think it needs another gear, like and overdrive gear for on the highway. I'm always in 6th gear pulling up on the shifter looking for one more gear.

be patient, find a safe place like an empty parking lot. start on a slow bike like a 125cc-300cc. try your best to understand how a clutch works, how shifting up and down works prior to getting on the bike. try to remain calm and comfortable, you’re not the first or last person to learn how to ride a motorcycle. understand that at some point you’ll drop the bike whether you’re on it or not and the most important tip i can give personally is learn to stop quickly and how to turn/corner safely.

@@mindzeyeproductions8560 I don’t expect an update every year, that’s not what was suggested or implied. The R3 has been mostly the same since it was introduced in 2015 aside from the additions of inverted suspension, standard ABS, and some cosmetic changes. With more competitive models available at similar prices, it makes sense for Yamaha to update the R3 and improve it. Is it bad? No. Is it worthy of a successor? Yes.

@MaxwellKane-y5x2 ай бұрын
im 16. I own a r3. I couldn't have been more happy. yes, I want to upgrade to a 600 like rn, but I can guarntee you if you've never ridden a motorcycle previously, you need this bike. It's perfectly forgiving. lightweight, etc. It's saved me from being too cocky. Yes, the r3 sounds like shit even with other slip ons on, thats cuz of the huge cat. however, the breaks are kind of bellow par. I've ridden a r7 before and it was way more bitey. Even with the ninja 400 the breaks on the r3 didn't bite at all. The clutch also bites in kind of aggresslively which i found interesting. The r7 didn't bite as hard or the ninja 400. But I would 100% get this bike if you've never ridden a motorcycle before. If you have some experience. go with the r7. Lastly, I love the afermarket support. I have a modified front face which looks so clean, and everything else too

Hey there! Thanks for sharing your experience. The R3 is a super rewarding motorcycle if you plan to use it as a tool for becoming a better rider. It has a lot to offer even if it may not be the most powerful. The lightweight and maneuverable nature make it very confidence inspiring with a price tag that is affordable for many common folk. Very easy to find them under $5K in the used market as well. Thank you for watching and ride safe. 😎

I'm planning to buy a motorcycle, but I really have zero experience riding one. Any recommendations on where I can learn before buying one? By the way, I'm torn between buying that model or the BOLT R-SPEC, what do you recommend for someone who is just starting out in the world of motorcycles? I'm from Texas.
@Omni_Moto14 күн бұрын
Hi there! Thanks for the question. Given you have zero riding experience, the Bolt may be a bit heavy and unforgiving if you make a mistake. It is possible to start on the Bolt, but the R3 will likely be a better experience for its linear power delivery and lightweight nature. If you are dead set with starting on the Bolt, then I _highly_ recommend taking the MSF/BRC (Motorcycle Safety Foundations/Basic Rider Course).

I'm considering getting an R3 as my first bike, one thing I'm concerned about is the comfort. In your opinion do you think it could be more comfortable for a small woman? I'm only 4'11 so maybe the ergonomics wouldn't feel so harsh to me ^^, Thanks so much for the greatly detailed review!!
@Omni_Moto2 ай бұрын
Hey there! I'm glad this video has you considering the R3 further. At 4'11 you will be a bit challenged for the seat height, but that doesn't mean you shouldn't at least try it out. Get into a showroom and swing a leg over one. Don't get too hung up on having both feet planted firmly on the ground - if you can at least get the ball of one of your feet down on the ground when you are stopped, you can ride the bike. The ergo might be okay in your legs, but you'll find with shorter arms (given your height) you actually might be forced over the tank a bit more. In short, go sit on one. It's the best way to know whether or not it's doable. I hope this helps and you discover a 2-wheel machine that fits you. :) Thanks for watching and ride safe. 😎

How are we feeling about the 2025 model? Refreshed body and fairings, new display, more narrow and ergonomic seat.
@Omni_Moto14 күн бұрын
I feel it is at least worth mentioning, but that's about it. I was really hoping for a bump in displacement for more power - to me, that's the main crux of this machine. It isn't a bad powerplant, but it's a bit dated and mostly underpowered compared to the rest of the segment. The CTG update is great though and really helps the curb appeal. The slimmer seat is a great selling point, but the R3 was already the lowest seat height in the class. The biggest highlight is the new addition of an A&S clutch. A lighter pull is always welcome, and the slipper function will help new riders get their confidence level up when practicing downshifts. Great question. Thanks for watching! Ride safe.

I have a license to drive a motorcycle for any capacity. The R3 has very good reviews. The person in the video also confirms them. I ride a lot in the city and nearby villages. I rarely ride on motorways. I don't know which motorcycle to choose. The R3 or the MT-07. Is there a big difference in fuel consumption between these motorcycles?
@Omni_Moto20 күн бұрын
Fuel consumption is fairly negligible (~10MPG in favor of the R3) If you ride a lot of motorways though, the R3 engine will be getting stressed with high-revs which could lead to more fuel consumption than the MT-07 engine not working as hard. The MT-07 is an awesome machine with plenty of power to grow into which will give it a longer lifespan during its residency under your roof, but it's important to understand your limits as a rider to make sure you don't buy a bike you can't control. The best answer I can give you is, "it depends" Know yourself. Know your limits. Know your machine. Thanks for watching! Ride safe. 😎

Absolutely! The R3 can help tremendously with giving you the confidence to get started on 2-wheels. I love mine so far! I fit into the large jacket at 6'1 (185 centimeters) and 185 pounds (84 kilograms). The air flow is amazing and the protection is better than nothing at all. All you should keep in mind is that on extra hot days when you are sweating, it does get a little tough to take it off and put back on because of the material, but other than that, it's been a life-saver this riding season with record breaking temperatures. How does this compare to the CF moto 300ss or nk300
@Omni_Moto4 ай бұрын
Great question. The 300 platform from CF is a single cylinder that is more akin to being compared to a Honda 300(Rebel 300, CB300R, etc.). The 300cc machines have a relatively low power output (~30 horsepower) compared to the R3, and they don't do quite as well when it comes to interstate travel (65+MPH zones). They are a bit more fuel efficient and lightweight since they are lower CC, but they do have some imbalance that makes them vibrate quite a bite compared to the 2-cyl engine of the R3. Pricing is very attractive on the CF 300cc machines, but they do leave a bit left to be desired as far as power is concerned unless you live in a somewhat dense urban area. I have some reviews on my channel about the 300SS and the 300NK in the CFMOTO MC reviews playlist. Here's a link! Thanks for watching. kzbin.info/aero/PLEwY36ONtI_dp254gUHiyfSJYdvEkmxjZ
