Could that be one of the reasons why my bike makes a noise when shifting through gears ???

Please check play of the parts. All must work together, there should be no slack. What you see on the movie is wrong. I replaced all parts

So to solve the problem your rebuilding the transmission?? Or just replacing the gear 1 sprocket? Any better way to access the sprocket or does bike need taken all the way apart..

This is long way to fix the ticking issue. I just finished it yesterday. Replacement only with splitting the crankcase. Inner side of this Gear 1 is different than other gears so is more sensitive of getting used. I'm waiting for delivery of new oil than start up film. Hope to have it fixed. Look at my last film. Shows almost all that I replaced to try to fix it. Step by step. If there will be some ticking than its loose of gear 3 and 4 which are in my opinion a bit loose but spin on the oil anyway. All rest is new

Gear 1 should be enough. To replace need to split crankcase. To split the crankcase need a lot of tools and stuff. Hard job but I wanted to do it my self. 50000 km on it so good that all bearings are new. New heart, new live. This is super bike

+Greg Stark Gear1 replaced and I hear that it's not enough so other gears need to be replaced as well. Only 3 & 4

+LittleRyan23 all parts of the drive axle are new except gears ( only gear 1 is new ) so I need to order gear 2,3,4 than silence as new born. Update in June.

So how long can you let that problem go before anything happens? What will happen?

Is that something that needs immediate attention? Been hearing same noise for about six months, not sure exactly what it is, a light knocking or ticking.

UFOLLOWINME a lot of parts can make noise so I really don’t know Clutch, tensioner, gears
