Damm, that torque just destroys the 600

I've been killing most everything on my SV of 14 years. The more even power band and gearing made for streets instead of the race track make riding like this a breeze for it....comfortable, where a 600 has to rev so high to get its power. On the race track, it is another story of course. 600's beat almost all other bikes with their light weight and nimble handling. Thanks for sharing. I'm unfortunately selling my 05 and was looking for inspiration for attracting a buyer that has never heard of these great bikes. Yes, I will probably regret selling it! I have downsized to a DR-Z4000SM.

A mad ridden r6 is a formidable thiing but a welll ridden nicely set up sv 1000 will ace it..

Those SV's handle like a dream

They do. Once you replace the heavy stock mufflers with lightweight aftermarket pipes, then that lightens up the whole bike to 'feel' like a 600cc...except these have 125hr & 75 torque! I would recommend swapping out the soft cheap cartridge fro t shocks with a tree off a TLR1000, but the stock ones are adjustable. I have mine set soft for bumpy Seattle rain damaged streets, and I bring a coin to adjust the suspension tight for weekends in the mountains. Lots of fun! Sounds great! My VFR was much more comfortable tho

@@kassenz Lmao well maybe you've seen me being a hooligan around Seattle, mines straight piped till I can find a slip on. But its looking like the riding season's just about over for now unfortunately 😅

@@kassenz hey, i know this is a longshot but I am torn between a 2006 SV1000 S and a 2000 Honda VFR 800. I do mostly in city riding, but I like to go out on the twisty roads in the weekend. Which bike do you think is better for my use case? My height is 175 cm. Thanks!

South Africa. See the sign post @ 8.39. I do love SV1000 :-) Lovely noise, great handling, coupled with a wide power band. I still lament on having to let mine go - was moving abroad.

That sv dudes body position is horrible. He’s going around right hand turns and his body is the opposite direction to the turn lmao
