Hey man. What size rear tires do you think you will go with. 20x10-9 or 20x11-9? I'm struggling with this right now. I went 20x11 and noticed a slight decrease in acceleration with the wider tires so I changed my rear sprocket to a 40 tooth to get the extra torque. 1st gear is pretty useless tho

Hey I have a question does the 1987 warrior 350 have a rev limiter? If not my warrior keeps bogging out at top speed I don’t think it’s my jets because I’ve jetted it a million and one times I can only top out at 65 and I have a lot of mods to make it go faster. Do you know what it could be?
@trailblogger4 жыл бұрын
I'm not sure! 65 is not bad for a warrior. What jets are you using? Stock carb? Does it backfire or die a lot? The only rev limiter I know of is the one on the clutch perch for the parking brake. It retards the engine if it senses the parking brake is engaged I believe. I eliminated mine by chopping the wires to it and twisting them together to bypass the failing switch

@JarofMayonaise4 жыл бұрын
Being an absolute newb to quads...I don't think I would recommend a 700 as a starter. Hell any size can kill ya but a 700 can get you in trouble faster than say a 250. You crash on a 250, you likely weren't going THAT fast so you may be less injured. The 700 is fast, meaning you'll probably going twice as fast when you get thrown off it. I hadn't really crashed a quad in 2 years since I started (rode dirtbikes since a kid though) unless you count that one time my 250 leaned over too far and I just put my foot down to push it back over... No, my first crash broke my left arm pretty badly (from what I'm told). Although you do not see it happen, you can see how fast I was going when it happened if you browse my videos. There is also a fresh rollover that happened this weekend too. Not trying to snag viewers, my channel sucks, but you can at least see what happens if you crash on one of these.

@nicksimpson4469 Жыл бұрын
You should have a cylindrical tube inside your carrier that acts as a spacer between the 2 bearings. No matter how hard you tighten the axle nut, it won't have any effect on the bearings themselves. If that's missing you will go through bearings quick

Did I do it wrong? I though i put them back the same way they came out.
@eddydgomez17194 жыл бұрын
TrailBlogger Lol idk if you did it wrong that’s why I asked. I assumed maybe it was your technique. When you were removing the axle the O-rings were on the inner side close to the carrier bearing seal & the C-clip was on the outer side. But when you put it back on I saw you put the them together on the same end. I looked at a video from RaptorGang and he specifies that you put them on the same way you took them out on this video.

@@trailblogger Yeah I wanted to stay with can am but those bikes aren't much cheaper than the maverick. A lot of people don't think the DS is fast. Stock it is a tad bit like an elephant but when I threw on a dual looney tunes, carb and intake I would take out cammed Honda 450's if they didn't know how to work the clutch. Im in Arizona where it's mainly open desert and a whole lotta dirt, rocks, rivers, washes and holes so the size of the bike is no problem for our trails. The bike lacked absolutely no power in the Glamis dunes and China wall was a blast. I have seen a few videos on the 2020 raptor talking about how the bike feels like it looses power on top end and it feels squirmy at high speed. Thats keeping me from spending $10k on a new toy. Thanks for getting back to me so fast!

yeah in stock form the raptor is pretty corked up but with the big 3 it wakes up. i admit i bought mine more for the low end, not much use for top end here with the rocky winding trails. the stock suspension sucked because i bought the base model, still feels top heavy compared to banshee or yfz but a ton of torque. going a little stiffer on my shocks might help but i love to leave them soft for long rides, get that nice cadillac feeling lol

TrailBlogger thanks man , I don’t want a Chineseium and a dominator is too pricy , I think I’ll try one out .

@@trailblogger maybe its a raptor thing but i feel it should spin alot more freely

Fresh cut grass is actually great traction. I had the tire pressure down also for maximum traction so I could pull some wheelies. Trust me it would dig a double trench no problem but I was trying not to tear up my back yard lol
