Great job, love that swing arm! I fired up my high performance RD400 motor a couple of months ago. I started it with a auxilary gas bottle. I have to still paint the metal tank and fiberglass body kit. I'm close to being done and I'm planning to run it on the drags. Being 69, I hope I get to try it out. Good job my friend and maybe I will be able to send some pics when I'm done. I also need to make a wheelie bar for it, I can't afford to crash! Haha. I do have a copy of the porting - pencil rubbed. I can send it if you want. I do my own porting with my SuperFlow machine, but this had already been done by CNC. I was pleasantly happy about it and time will tell. Enjoy your riding, I have my bike setup so I can try it out on the street, otherwise I would be out of luck trying out the motor. Good job

Great job man congratulations , iam in a similar project with a 79 rd 400 that i got in parts , i plan on using the pwk carbs as well but with stock redes , can You tell me where youre at as far as jetting to have a base line , thanks You

This guy doesn't know the difference between a 'head' and a cylinder? Pity there's no build videos. Still, l like the way he's had a go himself and that he's chosen to present in his socks which shows a certain style.

No one ever gets the seat right when people do these builds( and I appreciate everyone that does get done their efforts give me a positive feeling which is worth something)but not one has had the seat done correctly they don't look right or look like they function properly and they don't look comfortable. When a motorcycle seat isn't done properly it really detracts from the bike overall.

I think that’s 100% personal preference. I like minimal seats. I think over sized seats look bad. I have 3+ inches of foam. It’s not uncomfortable. I wouldn’t ride the bike on a road trip. But it’s not made for that.

I wanted to inquire if i may.. While washing the bike would that cause an issue with the UNI filters? Since i see you used Foam Air filters.

Have to cover them with bags. Keep water out. Same with pipes
