Just watched this video a second time. I’ve been working on mine so wanted to take a closer look at all your mods. I have the Chinese version of your 660 but they made them A 686cc. No where near the quality of the Rhino but 95% of the Yamaha parts fit. I just love how simple they are to work on and love how small they are compared to the new bulky sxs’s. I upgraded a pile of things like larger rad,I put an in take filter and check valve, put a primer that pumps fuel directly to the intake manifold for really cold starts, recalibrated the carb, oil pressure, oil temp, coolant temp, battery volts, shimmed the clutch for lower gearing, grand cherokee leather power heated seats lol the list goes on and on. I’ll have to do a video on it when it’s done. These are like tiny little Jeeps.

@@RhinoRider2006 update.,I got it running and on the trail I love it so far. Never gets over 176°F with all the mods I did. It can sit for two weeks and I just pull the choke and the second I touch the key it starts. I did recalibrate the carb though. Running the stock carb. Made some videos on it if you want to check it out.

Nice mods... I have an '07 with long travel suspension. Nowhere near the power and speed of the newer machines, but I don't care. At age 76, I just want reliability...hah. BTW, you have to be somewhat more than 1100lb with everything you've added, but she is obviously still serving you well. I may opt for those LED headlights since the stock ones are terrible. Ride safely....

Thanks for watching. Yup, pretty sure I am well over 1200lb with all the shit I carry but I have not walked back yet. I get grief from a lot of guys about that. ON one outing I lost the axle nut, I had a spare nut ( I always keep them after an axle replacement) had the socket to put it on as well. I have been thinking of doing an addendum to this video as I have placed a few more items on it. I have placed a quick USB charger on the dash, a master shut off switch which doubles as security and does away with the parasitic drain, plus a light under the hood for night time problems

First I've ever heard of someone losing an axle nut (with how they are torqued on and staked) ..but you had a spare and the correct socket..lifesaver. Now, I have heard of someone losing the oil plug.....me. Hah. And I didn't have a spare engine with me. Dang. As far as the extra weight, mine has a rear seat and adding an additonal person may be close to the extra weight you are carrying, and I have not problem with inadequate power to run down the trail, so to those giving you grief...Get a life!

@@melrobinson6919 The first time I lost one was after I had the front brakes done by the expert at the dealership. I went out to the mountains to ride, toward the end of the first day, left front wheel went left totaled the brakes bearings.the nut was to be tapped flat on the original wheels. Had to travel 100 km to get repairs, cost me $1200.00. After that when I blew an axle ( then purchased from parts discount they came with cotter pins) I would keep the nut, bought a socket to fit and carry it. Then I must have developed a bad hub, it destroyed the bearing and spin the nut off cutting the pin, happened twice until I took it off and my buddy saw the problem. The other problem was mine, I did not tork to 150 ft/lbs. Each time I had the repairs so I could drive out.. I do not lose a second of thought when guys ask why I got so much shit on my ride. I have towed more guys out and fixed more flats for guys than you can imagine. got my machine in 2005 ( it is an 2006) I have about 1100 hours on it, all trial riding.

Thanks for watching, you don't need them on sand or pavement, in the bush they are very well required.

Wire your reverse speed limiter to ground They will fail and put the machine into limp mode
