This is insanely good. With a springer it would totally have the Zero look
@exit98747 ай бұрын
Thanks..I was actually looking for a springer but didnt like the look of the cheap ones. Wasnt worth the money to put a good one on there since it would be too much money in to it Id never get back. But yeah..the zero bikes was my inspiration.

@exit98749 жыл бұрын

Keep up the good work! Peace!

Tackar. Hade inga direkta erfarenheter heller. Kanske 4500kr i bortlämnat metall/svetsjobb totalt.

Hey Exit, I love what you did with this bike. I have a 2000 XV1600 that I've imagined much the same idea, but yours is the real deal, and the best I've seen. I want to replace my tank, seat, and fenders with ones like you have here. My rear end is lowered with the adjustable lowering kit and I've been scouring the Internet for parts. Can you, PLEASE, tell me where you got your tank (883 XLH I know, 2 gallon?) but what size and year and how you got it to fi. Also, please,, where did you find the fenders and how much fabrication was neccessary? Beautiful job, my favorite bobber so far.
@dnartshtuj5 жыл бұрын
Thanks buddy..not sure about the size since it was a couple a years ago. Was a 2002 model 883. Think they are a little over 2 gallons. Didnt do anything with the tank but I had to grind away some metal of the upper motor mount bracket for it to fit all the way down. The fender did I found on ebay. Try to search for ribbed rear fender. And maybe add bobber and/or old school. And it was way more advanced work for me to handle so I handed it in to professionals to mount the rear fender. The best $370 ever spent 😄
@ZempelProductions5 жыл бұрын
@@dnartshtuj Thanks for the reply - and the important info. I'd love some more - if you could.... Glad to hear the tank was as simple as you describe. (Of course I imagined much worse.) I think I've seen the ribbed rear fender you might have used on ebay, from Low Brow Customs. Can you tell me what the fender width is and what tire size you have? They have several widths for fenders like that, 4-3/4", 6", and 7"..... And I guess I should ask about the seat, too. I think I'd like to go for something a little bigger, but something closer in size to the old HD WL solo police and military style seats. Have you any suggestions? Thanks again. Richard Z.
@dnartshtuj5 жыл бұрын
@@ZempelProductions the tire is 5". But I had to cut the fender since it was too wide. I dont think they had a size that I wanted so I just bought a wider fender and grinded both sides down equally for the width I wanted. Check out La rosa website for the seat. They may have something u like.

Hey Philip, I SURELY APPRECIATE your help with answers. With cooler weather now, I'm getting back to to my RStar bobber work. And I have another question: At 2:31 your video shows the ignition bracket you're running at the old fuel pump spot. Where did you find such a bracket? Thanks!
@tomcata14679 жыл бұрын
Nice bike! Only drawback, is you can never have a biker chick riding backseat with you. That is the only downside, other than, that, you are good to go. If you are married, your wife has a great smile on her face about that.

@exit98748 жыл бұрын
