Found this for £20 and kept meaning to try it out in the studio. Yamaha's first drum machine circa 1983 Wish I bothered saving the tunes :(

Good to see you're still posting. I've been watching your videos since 09 ( I was 12) and watching your vids taught me a lot. Your tracks really got me into making house.

How did you get a backlit display into your RX11??
@vinyljunkie076 жыл бұрын
It's just a bog standard 16x1 HD44780 chip-stet compatible LCD from China. I got a load years ago, I also put one in my Roland Alpha Juno. Think you can even get OLED ones now

@@vinyljunkie07 any chance you can post a link? I just want to make sure I get the right one. Also, how difficult was the install? I cant find any info online but I'm having difficulty reading my RX11 non backlit display.... THANK YOU SO MUCH!!

I really love this track and really wish the tune was saved also. Looks like I'm going to be having this on straight loop, but yeah I know all too well about not hitting record.

4x individual assignable output matrix thingies. Any of the 8 groups can be assigned at the same time to a individual output.

@@vinyljunkie07 love it! didn't know they could quantize that fast. i'm about to purchase one, hope to use one of the individual outs as a trigger for the arp on my korg polysix. sometimes the right pulse of sound will get it to sequence on time.
@vinyljunkie075 жыл бұрын
@@DoctorRazzArea4 It has a very advanced sequencer. Like the MPC each instrument "track in MPC language" can have it's own time base/quantize although swing is global per sequence
This drum machine was the first one I ever owned. I didn't appreciate it then. Now I have found it to be great for those 80's type sounds that is off the beaten path from the linn drum, the roland TR digital drum machines, and other more common sounds from that era.
