I take it you bought it recently; yours has the updated HDMI board that allows 4k/120Hz passthrough. Those who bought in 2020 - like me - have to ship it back for HDMI board replacement... installing 1.48 will not fix that issue. On top of that, even your unit is limited to 24Gbps bandwidth throughput, meaning it's not future-friendly; anything requiring higher bandwidth will not work.

Thanks for that. I was interested in the 4K fix and you addressed in your other video. You should try to show your physical connections on video instead of just voicing over images that have little to do with what you’re talking about.

Sound comparison between Yamaha and Denon? Which sound signature did you like the most out of the two? And why?

in terms of sound, they both produced a crystal crisp sound quality during a movie and music. However, when you go to higher volumes, you will notice that the Yamaha V6A can handle more higher volumes than the Denon S750H due to the fact that the V6A's amplifier has more power wattage. Moreover, both receivers are great in terms of sound but the Denon would win when it comes to the HDMI functionalities because it did not get affected with the popular HDMI bug so it will connect all your HDMI inputs more efficiently than the Yahama. My personal choice would still be going with the yamaha because it has more power and it has pre-out and the Denon doesn't. in the future when the new receivers all get released with a functional 4K/120Hz & 8K HDMI capabilities, I will definitely get a Denon series "X" receiver because they are High-End and they offer more features and power.

@@fivelevels I've gone through both Denon and marantz, (currently a pre 8K marantz av receiver that replaced Denon) I didn't enjoy a single movie on either of them! And I've tweaked the crap out of both. You name it and I've done it to make them sound half decent. I don't know if I like a particular type of sound which my old HTIB had in my bedroom it sounded very cinematic, although it didn't play as cleanly or very loud but every time I played something through it, it reminded me of actual cinema sound! Like how nicely and in sync everything sounded on it. None of my midrange Denon or marantz did that for me. Tarzan has a scene where his father gets attacked by chimps. None of those two receivers played it as well as my very first home theater in a box setup could, they have that recessed sound signature. I have very capable sets of speakers and a Rythmik sub (capable of going down to 14hz!). I demoed a Yamaha at local dealer, they played parts of Alita, which I've repeatedly played at home as well to tweak Audyssey. Yamaha definitely sounded better, and fuller. I think Audyssey is the culprit.

@@KashKhatana I am enjoying everything on the Yamaha from cinematic movies to games like COD and GTA. its satisfying to my ear. I don't like relying on calibration mics from any brand, I just like to manually calibrate everything according to my preference. I hope my video helps you and remember its all about personal preference and the budget you have.

How do I connect a 6.1 speaker configuration to this Yamaha receiver? I don't see that configuration listed in the manual.

Where in the room are you placing the 6th speaker?

@@fivelevels I have one surround back speaker that is placed in the middle back position instead of two surround back speakers. It is in line with the center speaker and behind the surround left and right speakers.

@@JohnDoe-ls2zu Ok, there's a label in the back that's along with the other channels named "EXTRA SP2 / SURROUND BACK..." , connect it to one of the banana jack ports and it won't make a difference if its Right or Left. Then, in the POWER AMP ASSIGN menu choose either "BASIC" or "7.1 +1ZONE" .. see which one works for you. Hope this helps.

It will work with these devices but for 4K 120hz, I showed another way to achieve this while still being able to use the receiver as well as getting Dolby Atmos. Re-watch the video and you'll know what I mean.

I have the LG C1 with a one X and it does work. Used HDMI 1 for Series X and HDMI 2 for ARC. The C1 doesn't hace e-ARC as far as I know
