Did you considered the option of use a stock paper filter with the dna cover? That way you have more air entering the filter, no need to clean the filter (just replace). More filtration power. What are your thoughts on this option?

If your doing off road try funnel web filters.

Hi, I installed the dnr filter and the dnr cover on my tenere 700 Euro 5, exhaust just the Storm muffler, but I did not modify the ecu settings and the bike seems to work better, more pick-up and also a great sound at the axeleration. maybe I'm wrong but that's my impression. I had also heard that the ecu was able to modify this new oxygen supply itself, now when we drive at altitude in the mountain the ECU work good ..?

Hey! Sorry for the late response! The bike will definitely feel faster! The ecu will have a margin of correction for oxygen supply but everything I have heard and read is that the correction isn’t enough for that drastic amount of change in air flow (especially with the DNA set up). Many say the bike will run lean even when you modify the stock intake (snorkel). I have never tested air fuel ratios on the tenere personally but didnt want to risk it. As running lean is definitely something you want to avoid. Plus with a ecu flash you can pick up some extra power left on the table. The flash was a notice improvement as we had road the bike a little prior to sending it off for the flash. So much so that prior to the flash but with the intake and exhaust installed on the bike, it wouldn’t power wheelie in second(after flash now it will). Finding the right person to flash the bike is also important if you want optimum power. We personally went with twowheeldynoworks and while its good overall there is a flat spot in the midrange. Hope this helps yah out and thanks for watching!

Thanks for the review , but i was wondering . Does dna air filter let's dust go through
@Floatsorrolls12 жыл бұрын
The filter has been perfect for us and does keep dust out but we ride nearly 100% on road. If you ride majority off road With extreme dust and mud conditions I would probably lean toward the twin air kit personally. Remember the bike must be tuned for the dna filtering option though other wise the bike will run to lean! If you arent planning on flashing the ecu or getting a fuel controller I believe the twin air might be ok to run. Double check me on that but with the dna they say u definitely need to richen the bike up.

Can I install only DNA filter without the stage 2 top? Do I need to flash the ecu with only DNA filter installed?
@Floatsorrolls1 Жыл бұрын
Either case from what everything ive seen u need to do ecu flash with any modification to airbox aside from cutting tht little bit off the snorkel I mentioned. For the lid it can be done but would require modifying the stock lid to a bigger opening like i show in the vid to unleash the full benefit of the air filter. That being said i personally would go for the stage 2 just for the more solid top and better flow design. I highly recommend getting it flashed with a pipe, intake mods or both. I will note that 2wheeldynoworks did ours and overall came out ok but there is a flat spot at about 4-5k and we did experience a engine code that we had to erase but hasn’t came back since we initially put it on. Hope this helps!

Do you have an ecu flash? With full exhaust and stage 2 airfilter bike shouldn't work as it should.
@Floatsorrolls12 жыл бұрын
You should flash or get fuel controller in my opinion because the bike will run lean if you dont. Which is not good overtime plus it will run better with flash. From the video in the description they talk about how the T7 needs extra fuel if you even modify the stock intake. The bike will run and operate without extra fuel but will be running lean which can and will damage engine overtime. Plus the ecu flash will give you some power.

@@Floatsorrolls1 what are the gains from all the mods in hp? Also which brand ecu flasher do you use? Woolich? You explain everything very well on your videos, I like your content!
@Floatsorrolls12 жыл бұрын
@@lamprosger.9094 Appreciate it! I would guess around 5hp. Biggest gains are bottom to mid. We went with the 2wheeldynoworks. We did have a check engine light that needed cleared when we first got it flashed (they talk about this on their website)but since then runs good no check engine light. 👍🏼 Thanks for watching 😎
