Hey man I have the same exact thing. I got this moto that’s been sitting like 8 years in a shed. Ordered a brand new carb and the moto idles way too high dispite being on the lowest settings. What do I do. This may be why it’s extremely hard to shift and why it won’t go full throttle. It dies full throttle. Could it be that the screw that’s exposed on the bottom needs to be re adjusted?

Going to have to pull the carb again on my 225DR and go through this. It sputters under throttle but it’s intermittent. Been chasing this gremlin for a while.

That jet kit your linked does not say the jet sizes in the description. Was hoping to verify they are all the oem size. Bought a ytm200 with a chinese carb on it, was thinking maybe i could use it if i find the oem jets and slide valve/needle

Hey man when cold my bike starts and idles great. But when its hot it stalls and it only starts with a little bit if trottle. Could this be a card problem? Just wonderinf how to tune the carb

I have a 200 e the choke is stripped out on the carburetor and I lost my cable with the jet on it trying to find a way to put a jet back and plug it and just have no choke

my 84 idles smoother than any can am but bogs when given throttle at all and only moves if i play with the choke idk what it is i’ve tried everything :( any ideas??

Really like your videos. fast, precise and explanatory. Thank you, I've used them for some of my other toys too. One thing though is amazon sells chinacarbs so cheap now it is comparable to just replace rather than rebuild... and heaven forbid get OEM from the dealer. On my CRF50, an OEM needle from honda was the same price as an entire carb. Ridiculous. Time will tell on how she holds up but man. Would like to know your thoughts on this as My YTM200 carb that I just bought is fooked.

Thanks for watching. Yes,the knock off stuff is ridiculous cheap. Though, I would NEVER put it on my machines there are a lot of people that do........once. Because though it might run right for a short period of time you might be starving your atv for fuel or running it lean. I will link a video of the comparison. Just my thoughts. I've got a moto4 and I've torn down the carb and cleaned it ... all except that little pin holding the float, and the needle and seat. Would this explain a motor that wants to just runaway when its started?

@@MidNebraskaMotorsports I've had it apart and adjusted a million different ways. Now when I start it still revs but after a 10 seconds or so I'd dies down and wont idle. O rings didnt look great. But that's all 8 saw that I didnt like

Had the same problem 1 or 2 problems with mine was 1 the slide was not in the correct position and was not bottoming out inside the carb dumping tons of fuel. 2 the throttle cable was binding at the slitter keeping the idle open. Check this by wiggling the cable near the cap/slide while the engine is running.

I’m having an issue with mine where it just dumps fuel onto the ground out of the over flow. I took the carb apart and noticed I don’t have the orange bowl looking thing in mine. Could that be an issue? Also I can get like 2 min down the road then she sputters out then will only idle, soon as I touch the throttle it shuts off. Any suggestions would be appreciated thanks everyone!
