Cool. What's the reason people rev the bollocks out of 2 strokes. Do they bog down or something? Had an rd350ypvs in 85 but can't remember revving it...but I guess race bikes a different breed.

Your YPVS had a big spread of power without a sharp rapid increase in power because it had a power valve, which altered the height of the exhaust port as the engine revs increased thus increase the mid range power. YVPS stands for Yamaha Power Valve System. Look power valves on KZbin interesting stuff.

One less tooth on the rear? That place has changed so much, I thought it had a bridge out the back? Last raced there in 1992, Scottish Regal Championship with Jim Moody and all his headbanging mates. It was wet then, not surprisingly.
