Great work Mackie I havent done fork seals before but you make it look easy. "Use what you have" is a good motto to live by. Keep up the good work brother.

It ain't difficult really....it's time consuming, and once you do it once - they are all pretty much the same. Well, upside down forks are slightly different :)

Rarely does anything go as planned even with a lot of preparation and research. At least you got the fork leg apart and you are not stuck for transport until the V Max is fixed.

a bit of bad luck there Mackie but it happens all the time and you never notice till you are fitting the part but not a tolat loss as you got the forks striped and cleaned so most of the work is done and you cleaned the wheel, I am happy once i am making progress

I know that feeling of wrong part bad timing. Is that a 1989? I have a 89 and did a bunch of thing to improve the ride, I'm about 240lbs so I installed progressive spring & heavier fork oil with 7 psi in the forks. They won't bottom out but don't beat you up either. I also lowered the bike 2" front and rear & I'm 6'1". I won't ramble on anymore, have a blast on it.

Hey Mackie, don't wanna teach u to suck eggs, but use Wemoto for parts, put in your make and model, and the parts are "usually" spot on, Del recommends them all the time, and I used them before I came across Del's channel.
