Yamaha V Star 650 top speed

Almost 100 MPH, not bad for a 650. V Stars are geared low and really could use a sixth gear. Many times I went to upshift to find that There ain't no mo !

A 6th gear would really improve its capabilities. I know, because I own/ ride one. There is also a notable amt. of wind resistance if you have a big windshield. That I won't give up, because bugs hurt and taste awful. No real complaints, as my ride is solid and dependable.

when the fuel ratio is set to the factory max speed is 140km/h... that means the factory setting is 2 and a half laps, the fuel screw is open... if you set it to 2:15 or 2 laps then it goes almost 160km/h... but for that machine it is best up to 120 km/h and there are no problems

EdrumSense 110km/h is it’s healthy spot for cruising although if pushed they will get over 160 pretty easy although at that point u are pushing it. Never put a tacho on mine but I have heard from others that at 110 the bikes roughly around the 4100rpm mark.

Actually you need a Jet Kit for both exhuast and Cold Air Filer Pods, Valve's adjustments, Carburetor Balance, Premium 91 petrol "gas", Remove the AIS system, and most of lose weight. Stay at 125lbs or less. You can hit 105 mph easier.

Iv just bought a second hand Lexmoto Michigan 125cc 9.8 hp top speed 65mph. This is a 649 cc 40 hp yet only does 95 or so surprising

Your lexmo will do 20000 miles at 65miles hour and needs overhaul or ⚰ RIP ..the 650 V engin is low rpm @ 65 miles hour and wil last 75 to 100tsd miles ✌

Yes it does go about 100mph if you go down the hill but in level road I could go round 86-87mph(Lil below 90mph) and this 650 wouldn't go above 90mph or so.

@@jahsir716 no I dont something must be wrong then if you are getting heavy vibration at that speed. I actually managed to get 100 on my bike on a good day. But even at that speed my bike doesnt vibrate so much. Maybe spokes on the wheels may need tuning or tires are not balanced that's the only thing I could think of

Well i'm sure it weighs less my bike is 90kg with a 125cc engine it goes up to 130 easily but the vstar is more than 200kg and it's engine is made for low rpm performance not top end
