I managed to not take off my exhaust to get this out and reinstalled. Thanks for a great video. I really needed it!! The exit path of the assembly - super important to know. Getting a spring compress on this diameter coil was no small feat. I used a macpherson “Chinese-ism” single rod corkscrew with forks version that if you put in the fork to the coil them attach the corkscrew it’s works great, or you scratch it all up (like I did, boo!) Adjustment of ride height and preload can all be done after install on the bike using only the kickstand. Wow, I could not sort out up from down and ride height measurements. 3-hours of jumping up and down to get zero bottoming out.

Hi Bryan, Thanks for all your great videos!! I am having a problem that I hope that you can help me solve. First off I have an 02 Warrior that I have done the following mods thanks to you and your videos. removed AIS, DIY VBAK, relocated the FPR, relocated the rear brake reservoir, relocated passenger foot pegs, added a tour pack for the wife, saddle bags, windshield, and I just got done installing PCC lowering links with the progressive spring that is 850-1250 lbs. The problem that I'm having is that my tire is hitting the fender now even riding solo. I got under it tonight and checked to make sure the relay arm curve is facing the front of the bike. Then I adjusted the preload on the spring as much as I could turn the nut. I went for a cruise and still it hits the fender..... I would rather keep the lowering kit because I am vertically challenged ;) TIA

Thanks for the video Bryan. My adjustable lowering links just arrived today, hoping to get it all wrapped up this weekend!

Hell yeah! I'm ready to get the bike out and ride now and see how it feels with the new spring too. Supposed to snow day after tomorrow, so looks like the ride will be waiting. Thanks for watching and commenting brother!

Thanks Bryan !! Your video is a big help to show were the bolts are located and etc. I'll be going slightly a diff. route, I plan to us the Pacific Coast Star 1 3/4 inch Lowering bar Kit along with the Eibach 1000 LB Shock Spring. Is there any other small parts, like gaskets that should be replaced during the process?? I was told I could get by without having to use the shorter kickstand??
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
You should be good to go. If you have an 02 shock like me, you may upgrade to an 03 or newer. They came with preload and rebound adjustments and the 02 only had preload. Not that big of a deal though, if you don't plan on getting in and adjusting them. Other than that, you should be set! Hope that helps!

Hey Bryan thanks for the video. my eibach just came with the spring and not the shorter collar. Can i re use the old one or am i screwed.
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
Hey, thanks for watching and commenting. The collar actually comes with the lowering kit. If you're just replacing the spring, you'll be good to go. Thanks again, stay safe out there!

Hi Bryan, i'm from Scotland and love my warrior, i'm planning to fit a voltmeter to her and am mounting it central between the handlebars , i need to remove the bolts now can i get away with re-using the origional bolts or do i need longer ones ? The mount plate is 2mm thick. Do you have a video on bar removal.
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
Sorry I took too long to get to this. I do actually have a video on bar removal, but not sure if it's any help now. As for the mount, you should be good to use the same bolts, you'll just have to pull the risers and install the plate, then reinstall the risers. Hope that helps brother!

Hi Bryan, yes thats good i'll be fitting it soon, cheers !

I bought the lowering kit but not the spring. What would happen if I kept the stock spring and lower about an inch? Do I have to replace the stock spring?
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
You may bottom out on the fender, especially when running two up. If you don't weigh too much, you may be able to get away with it though, especially if you only plan on lowering it one inch.

Hey Brian been TO long brother anyway I texted you a couple days ago cuz I had forgo which way to adjust to raise the bike, unfortuatly I have to raise it at least an inch from where is is now cuz the Graffeos are scraping when your going right with any speed.

What spring compressor are you using? Think the harbor frieght McPherson strut version will fit?
@PistonPeteFilmz4 жыл бұрын
Hey Bryan so the collar that came with the kit is really hard to get in. Like i gotta hammer it in kinda hard. Is that normal? Also for the adjustable links, the small end just turn it 1 full turn and leave it there right where as to lower the bike i turn the longer part outwards right? Sorry im just really confused with these things lol thanks for your help!
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, the collar should slide in fairly easy. Make sure that the o rings haven't gotten lodged in there or that something else is in the way. As for the small end, just one turn out and leave it. Snug the stop but back to it. You'll use the long hex part to adjust it, and you're right. Outwards, or extending it will lower the bike, and sinking it will raise it. Hope that helps!

@@RSWarriorBryan yeah its not going through, would it hurt if i sanded the collar down. I dunno what else to do

You actually just reminded me that someone else had this exact problem. Gonna send them a message and see what they ended up figuring out. Hopefully they get back to me quick, and I'll keep you posted.
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
He said he actually ended up sanding it by hand. Took about three hours, but that was his fix for it. Also said you could cut the stock collar to the size of the Barons as well, if you wanted to go that route. Said he has an 09 midnight and wasn't sure if maybe it was something to do with the year or model. Looks like you've got a little extra work to do. Sorry about that! Love when a job turns into something bigger than you expected.

@@RSWarriorBryan lol yeah had to sand down the throttle side of my radius bars cause there was too much chrome on em or sumtin, that took a couple hours. Anyways thanks for checking and the quick replies!

Did you notice a difference in the way it rides and handles with it lowered?
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
Definitely. Takes just a little getting used to, but I like it so far. Haven't gotten to get out in some good curves and test out how low I can get it before I scrape though. I didn't drop it down completely, I still have a decent amount of room that I could go. Yours not lowered? I thought you already had a kit on yours,

RS Warrior Bryan mine is low AF now, they told me to go around speed bumps ect to be careful from breaking something on some kind of a speed bump or something.

Hey what size are the bolts that hold the spring in place
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
Hey brother, if you have the factory tool kit, it has the wrench inside, but if not, I believe it is a 32mm, but not positive off the top of my head.

How would I know if somebody put a lowering spring on my bike I want to raise my bike it's too low it's hitting the exhaust when I go around a curve
@RSWarriorBryan4 жыл бұрын
You can climb underneath and check to see if you've got either an adjustable set of links, an aftermarket dog bone. If it's a barons dog bone, it'll be clearly marked. Also, the stock spring was black so any yellow or red springs would also indicate that work was possibly done in that area. If you're lucky enough to have adjustable links, it's no problem to raise it back up. Just remember, lengthening the links will raise the bike and shortening them will lower it. Also be sure to adjust each side the same amount, I like to mark one side of the nut to keepntrackcof the revolutions. Hope that helps a little bit. Thanks again!
@rayallen19124 жыл бұрын
@@RSWarriorBryan it is a red spring on it I believe it is still adjustable is there anyway I can send you a picture of it do you adjust the two nuts on each side of the spring or do you adjust it on the spring it self
