The WR is probably over 50 hp, LED lights are easy if you must have them, and they can be had for 9k easy once its closer to the end of the year. Making it street legal in the is would require a bunch of emmisions stuff and they would have to get rid of the tuning options so I like it the way it is, bit its easy to plate any bike in my state. If they did detune it to make it legal I could always just get an FX and street legal it so I wonder why they feel they need both

You can make it street legal in many states with minimal effort. For the more restrictive states you can just register it by mail in South Dakota. Emissions makes it very difficult to deliver a bike like this without neutering it at the factory.

Please Yamaha make a wr450 Supermoto make it have an electric start and a kick-start give it six gears and all the bells and whistles make it lighter than the Honda and make it kick more ass than the Honda I will buy it in 2020

CycleCruza That's literally like saying take a WR450r and make it street legal. That isn't the point of my comment. I have a motard already, but making any dirtbike legal can be difficult from state to state. Whereas an already street legal dirtbike, like the new Honda, makes it way easy to convert to motard trim without all the diificulties of going to the DMV just to find out that you can't make them in your state.

Throttle ahahah! typical frustration from yamaha people i have a 450 six days 2017 in NY (check my channel) and i just bought a 2019 KTM 500 six days CHILE fully opened in Portugal 2 days ago since i am moving there in one month. dont be a hater man some people buy the real deal! oh and my six days in NY has 170 hours & 5000miles, did not even change the spark plug. Just oil, gas and tires

because i watched the video from YAMAHA AUSTRALIA and it shows mapping switch via phone and wanted to see if 1) they have it in the US and the answer is no and 2) if it will be street legal in the US as they do in EU or Australia. The answer is no. Which i think it is a shame. F$#&* EPA BS. However i have to confess that if tomorrow KTM disappear i will be all over this thing but again not street legal, no mapping and all chocked up... What a shame! I also believe that Adam Riemann is the rider in this vid but i could be wrong.

bro you have no idea the damage the EPA is doing to our sports. The only brand which manage to pass under the radar is BETA. They even have 2 strokes street legal in the US...go figure! oh well i am moving to Portugal anyway. AUSTRALIA is the real deal for regulation and trails. My dream is to cross the Simpson desert there. My brother in law lives in Sydney, I might be able to pull this off one day.
