These are good bikes. Being air cooled makes the engine very accessible. The bike looks to be in good condition from what I can see in the video. I have had to do a lot of work to mine to keep it road worthy. I usually get 75mpg on the 600 - which is good given the cc. Good video.

they are good wee bikes and they go really well. my dad has done quite a bit of work to it but it was in good condition when he got it from my uncle. I have to say if I had to get a 600 it would be the naked version of the xj600.

My fairing was slightly cracked, but now held in place with superglue and black gaffer tape.

+Waltham Hillingdon Good old gaffe tape. this one had rare side fairings as well but didn't clear the new delkevic exhaust and they caused it to run really hot so they got sold on.

The XJ600 not a bad bike to ride, and you don't ever get that feeling its going to kill you, which is why they probably use a lot of them in riding schools. I didn't get a year for your bike, it is however exactly the same colour as the one I am currently rebuilding, and doing the FZR 600 front end / rear end conversion. Think the colours were fairly limited in this model, maybe 3?

Yeah it's great wee bike to ride, a big difference from my VFR750. This one is a 1994 and yeah you don't see much in the way of colour choices. Your build sounds like it will be a cracking bike with the handling mods.

Hopefully, will soon find out, am videoing the entire process, just done the valve clearances and the engine should be back in the frame this month.

GTs Garage I'll have to have a look at your vids later on. I hope it all goes well for the build.
