Nice looking bike. I still have a XS400E (1978) that I purchased when I was 18. Mine is mostly original and looks good. thanks to keeping her in the garage. I don't think I could cut her up to make a cafe' racer. but yours looks awesome.

Hi it is a brat Seat and i did not cut the frame, but I made the seat wider, and a little longer. I only cut everything I did not need 😁

im seriously considering converting my xs400 to a café racer, how is the bike for comfort? most of my trips go for several hours and i dont want to be crippled at the end of the day

The 400 is a little bike, so if you are a big guy it is not comfortable to ride it for long time. best regards

ja de 650 wel, de 400 is een kleine motor en was voor mij niet lekker om lang mee te rijden. Gelukkig de 650 wel en die heeft meer vermogen. binnen kort zal ik foto's of een video maken.

Ja de 650 is krachtig zat voor plezier overal, de 400 is al best grappig beter dan een nieuwe sr400. Waarom niet gewoon een nieuwe xsr700 of 900 trouwens?

Thomas Aagren thanks 👍🏻 the seat is a brat seat (stock item), but I have customized it to fit the XS better. I have sold the bike, but I rather kept it 😬
